Is it possible that after 5 years of playing, i can aim automatically?????

One common trick is to have a "trigger" in your preshot routine - like putting the chalk down on the rail after you've walked around and done all the thinking - to signal to your brain that it's time to stop thinking and start performing.

There’s a similar approach that is taught in golf where you have a ‘think box’ and then a ‘play box’. You do all your planning before you take your stance over the ball and that’s your message to stop thinking. Easier said than done.

This may be helpful to you for both golf and pool--you need to control right-brain visualization more than left-brain word thought. The golfer who says mentally, "Don't hit it in the lake" is driving their creative mind to visualize the ball going into the center of the lake, and then they hit it there and say "I knew I would do that". Then they drop a ball and knock it on the green.

When you see a lake or a pocket for a possible scratch, take time to acknowledge it as a guide for where the golf or cue ball should go and "see" it.

I’ve often said that tennis, handball and similar reactionary sports are an example of the subconscious mind taking over. No time to think about success or failure. Just an automatic response to the need to return the ball. Unfortunately we have too much time to think in pool and golf. Maybe we should have a 15-30 second internal clock. Why do you think the opposition in football take a time out before a field goal? To give the kicker more time to befuddle his mind.
