Is it possible to move a bar box to your house and save the cloth?

I certainly believe so,just would have to be leveled.I actually heard of someone moving a 9ft. with out taking it apart, now that is something i would have liked to have seen.

Diamond does it all the time. They just removethe legs, turn them on their side, place them on these carts and roll them away. Bar tabkes are even easier.

this is the question indeed.

I moved a 7' coin op Valley to my house a few years ago in one piece. So it can be done. Gather up some friends, you buy the beer, and you can muscle it in. Good Luck!

When I worked for Amsterdam Billiards, we brought in 2 barboxes for an 8-ball tournament. Because the slate is one piece and barboxes are built like battleships, you shouldn't have a problem. The only thing often done for transport is the legs are removed (if that's an option) but the cloth can definitely remain on the table.

I've done it many times but not in one piece. It would be very heavy (700+ lbs).

I take the trim off, then take off the rails. Then pull out the slate. I've moved mostly Dynamos and Valleys and they are one piece slate. The felt is glued to the slate so you can take the slate out and not mess up the felt. Then tip it on it's side and unbolt the legs. Move the box into a truck and drop the slate back in it. Haul and re-set up. The felt should never move.

Follow me around, I do it all the time...LOL

All coin-op pool tables, with the exception of the 3 piece slate ones, are shipped fully clothed and ready to install. I move 100's of them a year, it's really no problem at all, in fact, I don't even take the slates out to move them, not even on the Diamond 9fts, which weigh about 1,300lbs.

PS. This is still the wrong thread for this subject.

Yeah, but you're a monster and have a cool dolly:D The average Joe would have a hard time moving one into a house without pulling the slate. I tried it but couldn't find anyone as massive as me to hold the other end;)

Now wait a minute here, I've been called a Gorilla, animal, mule, a brute, a huge f*#%er, and have been told my knuckles drag the ground,....but I've never been called a monster before...LMAO:D

Yeah. its possible and easy. Take the legs off, turn on side, put on a very durable dolly and move. Simple.

I did this in my house a long time ago. Put the bar box in the basement. Now I don't know how I'm ever gonna get the damn thing out going back up those stairs!!!

Funny

Not to throw the thread that is in the wrong spot farther off topic but this subject reminds me of a guy at my office that me and my buddy laugh at all the time. He walks around all puffed up with his arms out like he's some hulk. He has the worse case of ILS or "immaginary lat syndrome" for the lay people;) I don't know his name but we refer to him simply as huge. He is not actually big at all by the way.
