Is John Schmidt playing in the WPC?

At the time he was saying it for lack of sponsor support for the trip. That was a month ago. I don't know if his status has changed since then.

I would love to see John Schmidt go after a World 9-ball title, however I can only assume that he has decided to play The Action Report Callenge match instead. I suppose a possible $10,000 payout, with very little travel and expense, is pretty tempting. Especially when it is a one-on-one match. In order to win the same $$ at the WPC, one would have to place top 4, in a field of 128 world class players.
Either way I wish John all the best, and hopefully someday he can go after the WPC title as well. He seems to finally be getting some of the recognition he deserves for his outstanding game and his championship character.

If John plays in the WPC and someone posts no show money then I will take Danny in the action challenge.

too bad the match wasn't a couple weeks earlier, John could ride that 10k gift all the way to Manilla
