Is paying for pool streams online safe?

Prepaid Visa gift cards do the trick if you're concerned. You can get them at the pharmacy or supermarket.

Don't get the reloadables or the ones that need to be registered.

If you're going to see Live Pool played your choices are go to the event or
choose a live stream from the comfort of your living room. The costs associated with
doing Trade Shows means they aren't going to be so many of them so the Live Stream
makes sense. Some of us are going to have to get used doing it if we want to see
current live play. I look at it like the next step I just wish more Pool League players new
about the goings on.We have decent numbers of people playing just not near as many
know about anything outside of League play.

I don't think that paying for a stream is a good idea.

Firstly, I was shocked to see the prices for the US Open stream. As far as I remember it was something like $70 for the full event. This, in my opinion, was laughable to say the least. Absolutely ridiculous. $70 for a stream that had problems (if not the last event the previous one), only one tv table and no playback!! Ridiculous.

Just for comparison, Kozoom offers a year long subscription for 99€. In one year there are at least 6 Eurotour events. In each event EVERY table is TV table. You can watch literally every match you wish. AND on top of that, you can browse and playback every match played.

But for smaller events I don't think that paying for a stream is the way to go. In my eyes, streams should be for free. If we want pool to grow we should spread it to the world as much as we can, and forcing someone to pay for it isn't ideal. A free stream has the potential to be viewed by someone who doesn't follow pool, and maybe the stream catches their attention and make them watch again someday or even inspire them to play themselves.

Now, I realize that streaming a tournament is not an easy job, someone has to do it and that someone deserves to be payed. I believe that. But I think that the money should come from sponsors at this time. I believe that it's on the companies to give money for the streams in order for the audience to grow and the pool industry to become bigger and bigger. I think that the perfect stream is free but with ads between racks, maybe banners on the corners of the screen or something.

Sorry if this was off topic.

I think we already see a lot of banners and ads , at least I do watching YouTube. And wouldn't it help them sell more of their products if they did get a bigger audience through streaming for free.

I think one should have a specific credit card for online use.

Nevernevernevrnebeber use an atm card online.

I agree!

Just had an idea! Let's improve this!

Why not Offer a discount code with stream purchase to get a dollar off league dues when you buy the big truck stream or monthly accu stats subscription!

I believe in cross marketing schemes. It could boost sales and could give league an advertising slot to compensate for the $1 loss or discount.

Makes a win win situation! BCA owner Mr. MARK Griffin may be willing to partner with the streaming giants like this? APA has never been Active With professional pool. Doubt they would cooperate?

I trust Pay Pal and love the idea of watching the DCC or the US Open or any other big event from home. But i will never pay again for a production that freezes more than it runs. I know I'm not the only one that has this problem because i read others complaints on this forum.
