Actually the template is not an issue for me, I prefer the wooden triangle rack however a template does solve the problem of playa's' trying to rack high or low - depending on their breakshot (see j.s character). So there are advantages to the template - I agree with you about chamberlain's gully/juiced super soft pocket facings though, practicing on equip like that - will only impede a players improvement. Particularly when they turn around and play on a deep shelf standard pro cut Diamond pocket, the bca peeple need to work with legends of billiards - to form a set standard. The racking method is miniscule compared to their being no set standard for official pocket facings or size of pockets - during any future top run 14.1 contests, eventually that corruption is noticed. Here is an obvious point about the juicing of the table:
How many people here set their personal high run on a table using a triangle rack?
Now how many people here set their high run using a template or a sardo rack?
I think the answer is pretty obvious.
Isn't it pretty strange that the only people known to play with these non-standard racks are the ones with the records set? Its a total joke. In tournaments a triangle is always used. In real exhibition play a triangle is always used. In ALL 14.1 play EVER until these 'records' were set a triangle was always used.
How can you guys not see a problem with this?
