Is Temu's $8 Kamui Black cue tip the same as PoolDawg's $27 Kamui Black?

Temu is selling Kamui Black 14mm tips for $8. Meanwhile, PoolDawg sells them for $27.
Is Temu's Black tip the same as PoolDawg's? Photos below show differences. Are these cosmetic differences or is one an older version of the other?

It's $8, but be prepared to get a fake one. I bought one on ebay like that once and i could not get the serial number verified. It kept coming up as fake.

They are not exactly the same, if you look at the original tips, there is a double black circle around the hardness letter. They are not printing them different for different suppliers. Fake tips are what they look to be. Just buy some Ultraskins at half the price of the fake Kamui's and you will be good.

While I attended a BCA Trade Show, a Kamui representative stopped at a Chinese trade booth and saw knockoffs of his products(tips among other items) and a very contentious argument ensued. I believe they (Chinese booth) were asked to leave- this was within the last decade.

I'm going out on a limb and say "NO!".

Everything you buy from Temu is either utter crap, deadly toxic or made by slaves. Ok, that may be a bit of an exaggeration but it certainly is a gamble, and one that's rarely worth taking.

There are tips for sale from China that are adequate for serious play. The problem with Temu is that you never know what you're getting. You may actually get fake Chinese brands, if you can even believe that, they do exist. It is usually better to buy something where they have their own brand, rather than knocking off something else. At least then, they have some skin in the game, namely trying to build a brand. They usually tank the brand after a while, but in the beginning it may actually be good.

Knockoffs is too nice of a word. Counterfeit, fake, forgeries, fraudulent copy, illegal copy. Its a con, scam, a swindle

lets be honest though ...... its leather layers glued together .... asking 27$ a tip ..... what about that makes it worth 27$
While I get where you're coming from, there's a lot more cost involved in an item than just the material. The cost of engineering, machinery and its maintenance, shipping, packaging, marketing, labor, real estate, etc... All of that goes into the price of an item. And while a lot of things seem simple on the surface, many times a lot more goes into making them than people realize. I work at a label factory. And you wouldn't believe how complicated we've managed to make the manufacturing process of something as mundane as stickers.

Having said that, Kamui tips aren't worth the cost to me. This is particularly true when I know I can get tips that are as good or better for less than half their price. I mean, maybe I just got a bad Kamui and I've been lucky with Ultra Skins. But I kind of doubt it.
