Is The Bcn Coverage A Bigger Ripoff Than Kt?

Absolutely not. No way can you even remotely compare the 2 entities.

Its just because there is alot of people on, They said that they would replay the match. I love Bcn and what they do for the people that cant be there.

Why not? This coverage sure does suck!

The first couple of days are always rough. Plus, they give us recorded events to play back later. At least, they did last year. I think the price is too cheap for what we get. I don't mind supporting this live coverage and the best tournament for the players. Sure beats not seeing any of it. JMO

I feel your pain.
I know Rob and he is a nice guy and he does not have any intention of robbing/conning anybody.Infact if u can see the picture the price he set for u to watch the matches,is adead give away.Unfortunately he has not been able to produce them with out any technical difficulties. He is NOT a con but he is NOT effective with the production.

20 seconds and out for the wave of coverage is what I am getting right now. It is great when nothing is going on. I agree the price is right, however is it because they know we are going to get spotty feeds when everybody is trying to watch some live action and the server is flooded?

At the rate it is going right now I would have paid more for a delayed service with gauranteed coverage. Or just simply tape it all and send out the results later. This live 10-15 seconds and reboot is for suckers!

Before anyone asks about my computer I have a nice up to date modern computer with ample hard drive space and a high speed connection.

Ripoff? Not sure, I'm currently watching a late-night ring game with Orcullo, Deuel, Sparky, I think Dmitri Jungo, and someone else.

Right now I'm seeing Orcullo run out a rack of 10-ball. Nice to see the best gambler in the world in action live.

Nah, I don't think it's a ripoff.

EDIT: Doh, Orcullo just missed and Deuel cleans up another rack.

Their coverage is like this every single event they cover...

its really a shame since the technology exists to bring you a better live feed. I'm not sure why they don't get on top of this and become professional streamers :)

One Of The Lucky Ones

I had horrible luck last year but since I can piss away $30 on a lot more sily stuff, I took a chance and have been pleasantly surprised. I watched it for four hours last night with no problems.
They had the camera running between bank pool matches and Jay Helfert and someone else played one pocket for about an hour.

KNOCK ON WOOD...Hope I didn't jinx myself.

coverage

i watched it all day yesterday and it started messing up during the marteniez hall match i believe but it was great all day, noon until 7 or so. well worth the money.

It's worth what they charge but the quality needs improvement. The feed drops off, freezes, and blurs. I'm hoping they put some archived games up to view when the camera is down. Then you can pause and review an interesting shot. But they definitely could use technical help imo.

Jody B is right about it would be nice to do a play back for later as part of the serivce. They didthis last year on some of the bigger matches and ring games. Hopefully they will do that again this year to. They maybe should talk to the folks in the Africa webcam, many of us watch. that thing is pretty good most of the time. They do have the top of the line everything, and they still have problems now and then. So, part of it is just technology can't keep up with our "NEED" for live pool. ;)
