Is There A Senior League In APA, TAP?

i really do not see the need for a seniors league in apa or pool period. why do you ask ?

you're right I am old, but that's not why I asked. I wouldn't join a league if you paid me to play in it. Johnnyt

You may play in my area  , 10 ball Masters, all called shot, well spread out handicap system (50-125) so you don't have a B and an A both playing as 7s, an A would be a 100-125 a B would be around 75-90 or 100 for a good B+, invite only so no jerks even if they play good.

But no separate senior division, I'd say 30-50% of the players are at least in their 40s (including me who is turning 42 this Nov) so you can talk about all those old black and white TV shows hehe.

We once had a match up with my son who is the youngest at 13 with another ex-teammate of mine who is in his 70s. I think it was the biggest spread in ages I have seen in a league match. The funny part, my son made 95% of the balls but kept missing the 10 or scratching. He lost 4 of the 5 games but the opponent only sank 8 balls the whole match. Which is another reason I like our rules, you have to actually WIN the rack not sink enough balls during the game to win.

Please don't take my "OLD" comment as anything bad, it just seemed like a funny statement considering the question :-)

I didn't take it as bad. I thought it was funny too. Johnnyt

I don't know why you dis-like league play BUT:

If you lived in the Dallas area you might just like our BCAPL Masters League.
No handicaps, just pool with most of the best players in our area.

If you were here, I would ask you to join our team.

No handicaps sounds good. I guess no sandbagging needed then...correct? Johnnyt

So....why did you ask, if you have no interest in league?

I was trying to figure out if a lot of seniors were involved in league play for something I was working on in another thread. I ask a lot of questions on here and throw out a lot of ideas. Every once in a while one sticks to the wall. There is always the ignore button. Johnnyt

Super Senior winner!

BCAPL & VNEA have Senior and Super Senior Div. at their National Tournaments.

Speaking of seniors, Don Owens of OB cues, won the Super Seniors at BCA this year. Played my old pal Don for a few hours shortly after that win. Played even for a while then he edged ahead. Nice feather in his hat for sure. Good guy and great company.

Why do I need the ignore button? I simply asked a question, based on your op and another response you made.

the apa and napa in our area does not have an abundance of seniors. now our in house money league is a different story. there are 3 teams that are mostly seniors and they all play pretty good.
