Is this a real Richard black cue.

REAL DEAL......i have seen a few with this personalization.....

Just curious but usually collectable items that are personalized to a specific person have lesser value because of it. Is this the same with a cue like this?

I guess it depends if the person is famous or not,

If ( George ) isn't famous then who knows, the cue might be going to Richard blacks shop to be worked on, the shaft that came with the cue IMO is a shaft from another cue,
and not even close to being the original.

Richard Black Cue

Looks correct to me, not much value in copying a Black

I haven't researched Richard Black Cues before,
The shaft that came with the cue doesn't match.

The Question now is should the cue be sent to Richard Black to have 1 or 2 shafts made for it.
And should the cue be refinish and have Georges name removed..
My friend that owns this cue also owns a pawn shop. so I have no idea what he will do.
I know he has to much money into this cue............

I have a similar situation with a Richard Black cue without the shaft issue, but without
seeing more of the cue it's hard to evaluate.
From what I've seen so far I would say keep the signature as-is, and have Richard
Black make at least one shaft, maybe two depending on the overall value and
condition of the cue.
At this point we need more pics.

The cue is being shipped to Richard Black to have a new shaft made for it.

I don't have any decent full length pictures of the cue, I was photographing on glass and the reflection was a bit much..
