Is this cue a fraud?

No, Charley. I think he confused butt cap and sleeve.

However, I will say that there is something about this particular cue to make it more valuable than most early JW cues besides the ivory butt cap, even in this early era. Have you seen another like it?

Chris
No,havent seen one like this Chris.Looks like it needed another band lower on the sleeve and a smaller band with same design above the wrap and it would have been really nice imo.

Joss look??

Another questionable item is the josswest description.Does a ivory band with mop inlays count as a ivory buttsleeve as quoted and a 1200 add on?
Charley

I got that forearm! Anybody know a good engraver. Look the buttplate and the bumper even have the Joss cut to them. You know what hits nice and stiff like a Joss also. These are nice cues.. NO COUNTERFETERING IS CONDONED!!

I have 9 different forearm configurations available weight range 18.5 to 20oz.
If anybody is interested in purchasing some of these No Logo cues Please PM me for details.
Oh yes, I forgot they are just $80 delivered USA. I will also offer quantity discounts. Money back Guarantee if not 100% satisfied

Well atleast i am starting to get a good eye for whats what out there with cues, years back i wouldnt have known a damn thing.:)

Don't have any cues on your list. I will be selling A beautiful ebony Scruggs, A snakewood Mottey, An Ebony Jensen with over 75 inlays (mostly Ivory), A Skip Weston, Ivory Jointed Bender, Ivory Jointed Gilbert and possibly a Butterfly point Dave Barenbrugge.

An Ivory band is not a buttsleeve. The Ivory buttsleeve has the JW engraved in it. Jazz, I do have an Olney "stash". Jeff is a good friend of mine.

Cuedoctor, Do you get a thrill out of trying to prove people wrong? Are you just jealous of people with nice collections? I see nothing but negative things in most of your previous posts. If you don't like or agree with the way I sell my cues, Don't watch. I took the "huff cue" off ebay. That's the end of it.

I'm not watching your fleabay auctions, this is azbilliards and I was responded to a post .I dont give a crap about your 120 cues,I was just posting to see what others thought about your ivory butt sleeve description to see if I have missed something new.If others say your right in calling it a ivory buttsleeve than I apoligize. Its alot harder admitting your wrong than it is to just say I made a mistake right. The only collection I might be jealous of would be icons or mark c. but not yours.Maybe I was off base in my post about what would have made that jw look better to me and shouldnt have put that out there so I apoligize for that. Alot of my neg post if you read were about mr huff and a few other scammers.Have a nice day:D

This cue is pretty rare. Many of Bill's designs were repeated in these years in various fashions and in ample quantity. This particular cue was of only two or three that he made. I don't know for sure if the butt cap is ivory, but I will say that I think this particular JW is a rare bird.

The price is already climbing. It should get a good price, I would think. If Cranegod were to add this to the description, it will explain how unique this particular cue happens to be.

Back to the original issue. Just how is it this "huff"?? cue came to be. Are there any more of them out there. Has anyone else been duped??

i thought David Huff was indeed a cue repairer? perhaps this cue he really did made it? if i am a crook or forgerer or i am huff i probably wont be dumb enuff to sign my own name on the forearm.

Bill Stroud said this cue was one of three that he made with this design. The previous owner spoke with him about it.

When you put these on ebay would you please post a link in the azbilliards for sale section so that I will know they are out there? There is a lot out there on ebay and so I miss seeing all the cues I might be interested in. Thanks

misterpoole, I am quite illiterate on how to do the links and things like that. I can barely get on AZ. lol. I will try to let you know when they go for sale. it will be within the next couple of weeks. Shawn

If you want to know when cranegod1 lists a cue all you have to do is put him on your list as a favorite seller.

Just look under his name on one of his auctions and you will see "Add to Favorite Sellers". Then ebay will e-mail you when he lists anything.
