Hi all, I just received an Email ad from Ozone Billiards for Viking cues. Did someone buy the factory and start up again? Or would this be older stock?

There was a post about it not too long ago. They are back in biz..... Happy to hear as it was my first cue.

Not sure if it a new batch or not

Viking is back under new management. There was an article here on AZ. I will try to find and post the link for you.

I have a Viking. The first 'big money' cue I ever got. (VM2)

There is a rumor that Viking is going to start up a 'custom' line and also do some up-to-date things with their production lines. It should be interesting to see what they turn out.

I'd really like to see them go back to doing "old school designs" sharp points, boxes, barbells propellers etc. I believe they pushed the envelope too far in the last few years but then maybe I'm just an old school kinda guy when it comes to cues.

I have to agree with you.

Yea I always wanted a Viking. But the wrapless stuff they did was just too expensive. I'd like to see some lower end wrapless stuff.

I'm with you on this too.

Id like to see them simplify their designs, points, veneers, maybe a simple design in the butt. Their scrimshaw cues looked great, but they only put out 2 or 3 of them.

Im anxious to see what they come up with.

I always liked the Viking that Corey won his first U.S. Open with, until I saw what they wanted for one! $1,200 for a wrapless, production cue was a bit asinine, imo.

I could get a damn nice 4-point custom cue w/veneers from a reputable cuemaker for less. With a 2nd shaft to boot!!!
