Isoplast Ferrule

I am experimenting with creating some of my own low-deflection shafts and wanted to try creating some ferrules for them with Isoplast which is what Predator first used. I can't seem to find this material anywhere so if someone knows where I can get some I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

I looked for some also and was not able to find any rod or tube that was affordable. I ended up buying Isoplast 7/8" flange bolts and machining them into the tube I needed. It is easy to find the fasteners in quantities of 10, 50 or 100 online.

I was told the Super XTC material from Atlas is the same material on Predators, just a diff name! I have some & really like it!

xtc

Thanks zim. I have to place an atlas order anyway and I'll add some xtc to the order.

the second gen predators initially used titan, which is still available at atlas. then they switched to something called maxlite. whether that is really XTC or not, i can't say for sure and i doubt you'll find anyone at predator to give you the official word. i think this conclusion is mainly conjecture and rumor, but hey I could be wrong. would love to hear solid information to confirm if i am. but the material is similar for sure....both soft thermoplastics and XTC is very light like titan, actually slightly lighter by my measurements.

Thats pretty much what Ive been thinking too.

Kinda worries me when Atlas reccomends Titan as a "house cue replacement Ferrule"

To me that just screams low quality...

I'm probably wrong though :) Got some on order

Ive been using XTC for awhile now & really like it. Machines & polishes well, no problems with glue adhesion. It melts just like predator ferrules, same chip/peel & smell as predator.
Predator or not, XTC is my ferrule of choice!
