It’s time to shame chalk grinders

Not a damn care in the world. They are also chalking over the table. We have already shamed the baby powder users to extinction. It’s time for the baby powder guys to clean up after themselves.

I have made several players come back and clean the table I will be sitting at from the powder they leave all over the place.

i worry more of drooling over the table. or picking their nose near it and then sneezing.

One of Efren's favorite sharks was to mine for gold then smear his finger all over the rail. He might still do it.

When it comes to grinding chalk my favorite thing is to place the cue against one foot and use the instep of the other foot to spin it back and forth fast enough to be a fire hazard. Announces to the whole room you are a rube!

eeoo...
There's a video of him blowing his nose on the floor - looks like out of contempt. Crassy shit regardless...

Have to remember that more than a few tables he played on were outside and I'm quite sure that sanitary conditions weren't the best when he was coming up. When he learned it jacked with those of us in the lower forty-eight he kept on doing it.

When there is a lot on the line Efren is more serious but it used to be not uncommon at all for him to shark amateurs playing with him for a few dollars. Not that he needed to, just playing around like kids sharking each other. There are stories of him sharking "C" players.

Wouldn’t surprise me.

I always felt he had a mean streak in him when I first knew of him and watched him play on TV. A younger Efren rubbed me the wrong way.

As time passed we tend to forget what bothered us about them. At his age and status he is loved and respected.

I’m talking about a younger Efren before he was considered the greatest.

Just like SVB and his issues. Heck, some people are too young to even know.

You are an idiot.

Anybody who worries about what another player does with their chalk needs to work on their mental game.

If it's on your home table then sure, worry about it, but at the pool hall... you don't own the place. I get it, it's messy, but worrying about what you can't change isn't the most productive use of your time.

Even pros make mental blunders. It would be better to focus that maybe 1% more on your own mental game rather than worry about stuff that makes no difference.

some say its disrespectful to put the chalk upside down. maybe it is. yet they will wear ear phones and shut you out with their music.
isn't that disrespectful to you.
or answer their phone and have a conversation during the game, surf the net or write emails. thats okay in their way of thinking.

if i am talking to someone and they answer their phone or even keep looking at it without saying "hey i got an important call give me a minute".
i just walk away.

Well it sounds like you’re really mad. You can write a message on the cloth in chalk that says call me when you’re ready to play pool. They’ll see it when they get back from the call.

I kind of space out and think about things like that while I’m upset. Then someone has to tell me it’s my turn till I snap out of it. I get back to the table and what do I see?? God d****** they put the chalk down again!!! I swear one of these day. One of these days they’re gonna eat that chalk.

see, i am not mad i just don't let all those annoying little things bother me. if something does, i ask that they don't do it anymore or try to not, as long as its wrong to do it, or against the rules.

other wise they have every right to play as they wish. not as their opponent thinks they should.

to me its a big joke that people get upset on how someone puts the chalk down on the rail.

I’m just being silly. It’s not that big a deal but it’d be nice that’s all I’m saying. I’m new to this forum, but the taking a stance on the chalk thing has gotten more responses than every other post I have made combined. 😂

Btw do you think I could make money selling custom chalk coasters. I’m asking for a friend. Imagine you put the chalk upside down. The other guy says nothing. They just walk up to the chalk place small coaster under it and walk back to the chair. They point to the sign on the wall. It reads, “ No jump shots. No masse shots. No drinks or food on the table. Always place chalk on coaster.” Who’s getting sharked now?

I’m sorry I’m cracking my self up.
