Happy Father's Day to me, indeed!!!

Had this delivered and installed by a REALLY great crew yesterday. They took their time, and did it right. The table plays fantastic. It's an older model Brunswick Century 9-footer that came from a closed down poolroom. I revamped my garage a bit, and have 5'6" of space all the way around. Brand new Simonis 860 cloth topped this bad boy off.

I'm in love......and all that's left to do is finish up the drywall (1 more sheet to hang, a bit of painting, and attach my HVAC duct (already cut out the hole for it).

Just felt like sharing!! :) :)

Thanks, guys!!! I've waited YEARS to figure out a way to get my own table....and my wife decided that the time had come to give me the room.

I'm thrilled with it....and so is my oldest boy. We spent two hours out there today, and he's having the time of his life. Fascinated by the balls rolling on the cloth........ (so am I!! :) :) )

Much appreciated for the nice comments. I used to bang around on a table like this as a kid...so it's got some nostalgia value to it, too!

Nice table...

Good job on getting the wife to relinquish indoor parking. I wish I had a garage. Once the back of my house gets closed up, I can start working on the space where my table will go, 17 1/2' X 29', think that will be enough room for a Diamond Pro?
 
Good deal Mark. I love the old school table, and the choice of cloth color. Now that you can practice every day I "might" be in trouble next time we play........."might" be.

I'm thinking it's gonna be a bit more than just "might," bro.

I'm sure it's "new table syndrome".....but I've managed to square away a 3-pack today.

I have faith that the new table novelty will settle down a bit....but for now, I'm shootin' 'em pretty sporty!! :) :)

I'm gonna become one of those guys that takes his own video, posts it on Youtube, then asks people what I can do better. I've seen some pretty solid pointers come out of those threads....and I've always wanted to videotape myself and see what I'm doing right and wrong.

I am jealous! Still waiting to buy or build a new house so I can set up my Diamond I bought in Feb. Congratulations!
 
It is good to be confident, and we can play on your pet table if you like. With all this new confidence and gamesmanship, it might be time for "friendly" wagers.

Hey - we could do a match, record it and put it on here. That would be kind of neat. A little "action" for "AZ". LOL..

Seriously though, et in touch bro. I'm back from TN, over all this radiation crap and feeling better than I've ever felt in my life. I will warn you though, my friend VARick (you know him Mark - plays with that nice McDermott and has glasses) was impressed that I was getting out of radiation treatment, and then coming over and playing some pool - and matching up cheap(and, actually on a few occasions shooting lights out). I was weak and nauseous, but playing pool took my mind off of it. I was supposed to be in bed..LOL...but a few times I got so tired of laying down, I just had to play pool.

Didn't you and I play pool after one of my radiation treatments? I think you could tell my stamina was not that great...but I still...WON every straight pool game... didn't I??? LOL...Now I'm healthy, so you know what is in store! (Just a little crap talking to get your competitive juices flowing). Seriously, get in touch Mark.

Happy to hear you're back in swing, Matt. I (like most of us) were pulling for ya, for sure. Good to see ya back in action...regardless of how light the dollars are in those games.

Looks great especially with the blue cloth.;) ;) Diamond told me my Pro Am will be delivered next week. I think we could set up a tournament now with multi venues, what do you think? Keep up the practice, we can have a father/son tournament, loser buys the boys hot fudge sundaes.:D :D

PS- Just curious if the reason you placed this post in the "Cue Gallery" section and not the "Main Forum" is that the cue pictured on the table is a one piece "Balabuska"?

Damnit....I thought you were letting me win, but I fooled myself into believing I could win on my own. Another dream, shattered by 8 Ball Rat.

Hiya Tom,

Yep......the cue is a George Balabushka original. Brand new condition, never used (okay.....MAYBE chalked for some test hits :) :) ), and so sneaky, that he even put "Cobra" on the buttcap!! Now THAT is thinking ahead!!!

FYI - I've got 5 of these things, bro.....so if you want a couple for your home table setup, let me know.........you can have 3 of 'em.

Sweet set-up. It is hard to beat those old Brunswick tables. Now you won't have to hunt down a game. A few nights playing on that table and you will be hitting them like a pro.....congrats!!
