Yea I guess. There was some lady about 2 years ago trying to sell a house cleaner that caught all the dirt in a bowl of water.Zagiflyer said:Sort of like an industrial dust bong?
As you clean a dirty carpet the water turns dark as it collects the dirt.
They also have different perfumes to go with it.
They were wanting way too much for these. Something like $1500 if I remember right.I just can't remember the name of them.

This is a very important issue, dust and what it can do to us.
I guess we all know that smoking is not healthy, but I'm not gambling on
that the dust from some of these woods don't seriously hurt us....
I tried to figure out what to do with the dust problem up here earlier :

As Royce have mentioned together with his link;
The industrial dust "Bag" collectors do not take care of the respirable dust which hurts us.
In the link above you can see that I did go for a industrial Vac designed to
take care of fine dust in shops where it takes away dust down to the
0.03mikron range with a special HEPA filter. And YES, it's currently inside my
shop, but tubes would be bough to park it in a different room as well.
I also discussed these issues with the Italian factory and they did let me
know that they have a new Cyclone version out for industrial use which
might be worth checking out (I have a PDF but it's to big to put up here).
Earlier I asked about the Trend PRO Airshield up here and if any one tried

It seems like not many had heard/used these and I have now two of these
available for use where I work and I'm happy to give a review of these
when I finally get the time, if there is any interest?
The unit is the one on the pic and is as I understand this capable of taking
out dust down in the MDF range when milling
(Medium Density Board-MDF used a lot in the furniture industry and I use it for loudspeaker boxes)

I saw some rainbow stuff on ebay a while back, and although no where near original costs,they seemed to still be holding some value at that time, I remember because I had noticed that after throwing out some of the expensive attachments from one that I had left. I think the idea you have in mind is a good one, not sure if they would be good for that though. For the money I would think There's probably a better way to use the idea. I had one passed down to Me after a relative passed away many years ago, and the motor was all corroded up and frozen, aluminum Pieces were literally falling off It in chunks the corrosion was so bad. I don't know if It was stored with water left in It that may have caused It or what, but the vac was a total loss. I remember seeing the salesman demo It when I was a young teen, and It was cool to watch the way it worked at the time. There was all kinds of cool extras for them too, but I have no idea how well they would work for filtration like We need.
I wonder if a sticky type paint filter would work any better then standard filters for removing the fine stuff. I guess those would probably clog right up very quickly though.
