I am pleased to announce that the it's george line of cases will be manufactured again in the usa !!!!! You can finally have the quality of its george cases that you had back in the day today !!!!! The official launch will be at the windy city cue show this october in chicago......

Who is making the cases?

In 1985-86 at the beg. of the company, quality was high, everything about the cases was top notch, then in the early 1990's material quality started to decline and the latch mechanisms and other parts were less quality. Then in early 1994-95, Its George sold out to 'Brunswick' and quality went even lower, until the name was closed out.

What level of cases will be brought back?

Will it be with the original fellini style latches, full thickness leather and straps and materials?

Any info would be helpful, any example of what they will look like and aprox. what the starting prices will be?

The cases are being made by the Original Owner of Its George......

1x2, 2x4, 3x6, Models will be available...... Many options available......

Pricing will be competitive in the market with comparable designs of these style of cases.......

The styles and designs will be reminiscent of " THE GOOD OLD DAYS "

Interesting for sure!!

So Mike Roberts has decided to fire up the line again...?!
And that would lead one to believe he has re-secured rights to the brand, right?

My first, and favorite case of all time, was the 2x4 Ostrich I bought new back in the late 80's. I still have it, and still carry that thing once in a while.

Put me down for for a 2x4 Black leather with all bells and whistles. Also, add another of the same in Dark Brown Hornback Gator.

Congrats, and good luck. Tough time to be starting such a business.
 
This is great news!! I thought Mike gave up the name forever when he turned the reins over to Brunswick.

I sure hope it goes well for him, my best wishes to whoever is involved on their endeavor!!!!

Make sure you call them "Vintage" It's George cases and that way you can jack the price way up if "acedonkeyace" makes an order! Normal price for honest AZ members.

Scott that is great news and since I know you, I know they will be top shelf.I miss owning a 2x4 george case.

How much for a black leather 1x2 with 2 pockets and a jump butt sleeve with strap and handle?
 
If this thread is valid and "It's George" cases are indeed going into production with the same quality as the early cases then this is good news. Looking forward to seeing what comes out of the factory.

I'm confused why this thread is being bumped...are you actually taking orders and have cases for sale or was this just an announcement thread saying that it's George cases are coming back and being unvailed at the Chicago cue show???
