What happened to It's George? I'm currently caseless and have been looking around at a bunch of things. A friend of mine loaned me an "It's George" tube case and I kind of like it. I went to Google searching for the cases and the only thing that comes up is stuff on Ebay. Did they stop making their tube style cases? Have I been gone that long?

They are not made anymore. You can find them used pretty easy if you are not very picky about color or condition. Prices go from 150-300 depending on style and condition.

You should check out Ron Thomas cases. Same style but with better overall quality and you can have one made to your specs. Go to www.indyq.com for a look at the different styles and prices. I own a 1x2 and a 2x4 and I love them both.

George

I have a "unused" .. It's George case .. 1x2 leather with the "It's George" Engraved / Tooled on the side. $300. I also have two SUPER MAC McDermott cases (1x2) [they look like the George style] $150 .
All are new!

Thanks for the replies, guys. I'm not 100% sure what type of case I want at this moment. At first I was going with Justis, then I switched my thinking to Instroke, then my friend loaned me this It's George and the thinking switches again. Up until I used this case I never had any interest in the It's George cases. Only problem with this style of case is the lack of pockets to keep things in. On the other hand, the simplicity of just the tube is it's appeal. Hmmmm.........

It's George

I had a 1 x 2 George case in burgundy eelskin. It was pretty, but scarred very easily. The tubes were great, but the flimsy shoulder strap, 1/2" wide, did not hold up at all.

I tend to rate cases first on convenience of use, funtionality, and then on looks.

The thing is, by today's standards for cases, some of the older models fall short in some area or another. I would rather have a modern case that possesss the functionality I need for a case, and with appealing looks too,
and is not too heavy.

I have a used burgundy 2 x 4 case...it has engraving on the lid which will be removed and polished up...as soon as that gets done I'll be posting pics and will be for sale....

It's George cases

During my trip this summer across the midwest and south of the U.S. I stopped in Shreveport, LA and the rumor there was that Mike Roberts was going to start making cases again. But ron thomas cases are better cases you can also check them out on http://www.billiardcue.com/cue.cases.php
i think cases are about $300.00 thru $950.00. hope this help in your search.

I like my Silverfox or Lucasi soft side case. Just thrown in a couple tubes from a hard case and you have all the protection of a hard case plus it's lighter weight and has much bigger pockets than any hard case. Best of all worlds. :D
