I will be going to the 4Bears Casino tournament which you can read about by clicking here.
I'll be doing pool commentary for poolactiontv.com and also playing in the events. I went last year and enjoyed the event immensely.
The tournament is being improved this year and big stars like Shane Van Boening and Jeanette Lee are tentatively scheduled to play.
I hope to see some AZBers at this event. I know Fargo Billiards sends down a crew because last year I flew into Fargo and met a lot of their people.
I'm hoping for one of those "mild winters" this year for MINOT, ND. I'll be flying in to the Minot airport.
I finally bit the bullet and bought an Iphone and bluetooth headset, so I will be tanking up the iphone with some different kinds of audio for the trip. I'll probably include some music for pumping me off and a bit for chilling, along with some motivational stuff, some pool affirmations, a bit of meditation and I'll probably have Edd's hypnosis cd if I can get it into the Iphone. It's along trip but I like to go prepared. I'll be looking for some bar table action $$ at Buffalo Billiards in Metairie, LA to help me prepare so don't be shy. I should have gone over to Cruzer's in Gonzales today but had some honey-do things to take care of.
My wife who is not super keen on the technology gadgets but when she saw my Iphone5, she was kind of impressed with the personal butler and all. After about 3 days she couldn't contain herself and told me, "Even the people standing at the bus stops have those smart phones. I want one."
So today, I've been sharing some of the things that they do. Heck, I've got to get up to speed on them myself. I've got about 6 apps already downloaded, including a "candle app" for meditation. I thought that might be pretty interesting to try. At least I won't set off any alarms on the plane with that. Now that I think about it as I am writing, I wonder just how much of the Iphone will be working on the flight? Does anyone know? I'm wondering if I should take my Ipod now....
Hope to meet some new AZBers and renew old acquaintances as well.
If you have some ideas or information about the Iphone5 and any suggestions on how to use the Iphone on my trip, please let me know. I'm more of a PC kind of guy. :smile:
