As promised...here's the "DaytonaJoe Sale" cue. If you missed earlier post...I agreed to sell this cue (retail $500) for $250 to the first forum member that posted he wanted it. So if you got am extra $250 laying around...you get a steal of a deal!!! Cue details: 4 rosewood points into maple, Hoppe style linen buttcap, dashed micarta ring work in the linen joint, 3/8-10 pin, 13mm laminate shaft with Ivorine 4 unbreakable ferrule with a new Sniper tip. Nothing too fancy...just a superb playing cue. Honestly...its hard to get a cue that will actually play much better than this one. It really hits fantastic. Ok...here we go...first poster that says..."I WANT IT"!!!

SOLD to Mr. Rat.
PM sent sir.

He can't have it; he's in the process of selling off all his cues so he can go overseas for awhile.

I want it!!!

Tsk, Tsk.....

Chris,

How are you gonna call me out on getting in on such a great deal??? I'm hurt....cut deep....damaged beyond repair!!! :) :) :)

This sounds like a great cue to take with me overseas...as it's low enough in profile to keep the hounds at bay....yet still plays great.

Why not just be happy for me, in my time of need??!! :D :D :D

Sorry to have gotten in on the deal before you had the chance to respond.

My warmest wishes to you, while I'm shooting with my Varney!!! :)

Where you going, and why...
Far, far away.....and because Uncle Sam tells me it's my turn....AGAIN!! :)

Hence the reason I'm selling off my cues. I've got a little boy on the way in August (our second)...and I'm leaving shortly thereafter. The money from the sale of my collection will be going towards baby stuff, child care for my 3-year-old, and the various things that a family should have available to them to live a nice life for awhile.

The Varney cue will give me something GREAT to play with (on the 2 tables I hear I'll have available to me)...and the price is KICKIN'!!! :)

Congrats

Rat -

Congratulations. You'll love your Varney SP as I do mine.

Only problem is now you'll want a matching J/B

Due you deserve the Cue, and I am Glad I talked to KMr. V. to offer it again after some PM's.

Good Luck if you are going to the Big Sand....

Sleuth,

Thanks, man. When I found out there were gonna be a couple tables available over there, I wanted to find something to bring with me....but nothing too expensive, or too flashy.

Mr. Varney's cue fit the bill perfectly....and the 1/2 price sale on the cue made it impossible to resist. Can't wait to see it, hit with it, and post a reply on how his cue plays.....

....FYI...I'm on the road at the moment, and will be home in about a week. When I return, the next cue in my collection will be posted for sale. It's probably gonna be my Joss. 4 Ebony points and 3 veneers into gorgeous curley maple. Rambow/Hoppe style buttsleeve, black linen wrap. Only 1 shaft...but it's got an Ivory ferrule. Great shooter, and it's gonna go CHEAP!!! Retail on that cue is 600 (plus another 75 or so for the ivory)....and I'm selling it for less than HALF that with shipping!

STAY TUNED!

Chris,

I'm sorry to report...my check DIDN'T bounce!!! :)

I just got the cue today...it looks and feels GREAT! I can't wait to take it out for a spin on the tables (but it'll have to wait a couple weeks... :( )

I tried to PM Kevin...but his PM box is full.

ANYBODY KNOW WHAT KIND OF FINISH HE USES ON HIS CUES??? It really feels great....but I'm not certain what it is or how to properly care for it. It's smoothe and solid...but it's almost as though you can feel the woodgrain....but not quite like the Tung Oil cues I've had/seen....but kinda.....but not really...??? :)

Any info (from Kevin or from someone that has a Varney) would be appreciated.
