I am looking for an ivory butt cap, 1 1/2 inches long, do they made them that long? Do they come oversized in thickness too?

You can get an oversized, 1.5" long butt cap from David Warther at 330-343-1865, daytime number. Legal, pre-ban Ivory at fair market prices, you must be in the CONUS though.

Try David at Nantucet Basket co, # 800-957-3357 , will cut whatever size you want . I never bought a butt cap, but i have bought ferrels, joints and Hoppe rings. Very nice to work with. Jim

Larger pieces of ivory are more apt to crack so must be worked and handled by someone who is knowledgeable in it's use. Warther is an expert at cutting and sealing and his ivory is legal and not raw. That is the reason almost all cue makers buy from him. He will cut to any size that you want and the last time we talked the price was close to 90.00 per inch.
