Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. You will get little, if any benefit from ivory on a Predator shaft. First, the wall thickness of the ferrule would be very thin and may crack. Second, any ferrule other than what Predator recommends will make the warranty null and void. Lastly, ivory is not the best ferrule in all applications.
Yes, you certainly can.
However, it makes about as much sense as putting a 2 cyl. John Deere tractor motor in a Ferrari.
Also, you can kiss your warranty and performance goodbye.
If your goal is to go from the lightest ferrule available to the heaviest, creating the most drastic change in deflection imaginable, than this will do it!
If you change the ferrule from Predator ferrule to another ferruel "DEFEATS THE PURPOSE " of Predator shaft hit and performace. Why even buy a Predator to do all that to begin with? Just my thought:smile:.
Easily done.
I've put regular ferrules on predator shafts for a few people, they were all happy with the way they played afterwards.
I don't recommend it, but in some cases where it's what the customer wants, I will do it.
Usually it's an older shaft, the original ferrule has failed, and they don't want to send it back to Predator.
I feel I can adjust to anything - Its the Indian not the arrow. And it does play great- the Ivory hasn't cracked. I have used it on several SS cues- and like the soft hit with a Fat Black Kamui Medium. I just had to have it. I have had it for 1 yr. Mark
