Ivory joint schon tributes in the mail

hey deanoc...

i am happy to have worked with you guys who bought
everyone is happy and proud of the cue

no one is complaining

if there was a category on az poll for best ,most satisfied customers
it would go to you guys

i think you're missing an important point

it's 'you' that makes so many folks 'satisfied' - your efforts!

years ago some folks saw you as a snake oil type salesman of cues, selling cues like the "deano" special [that i still have and enjoy]

now, there are no doubters anymore...

you have a long and revered history, knowledge of cues and their makers. and maybe a little 1-p too! it is easy to see you enjoy putting great cues in the hands of 'azb friends' - a job you have done exceedingly well

i truly admire you
and thanks

all the best,
smokey

I was wondering how does the ivory joint feel compared to the normal ss joint?
No difference/same?

A softer, livelier crisp hit vs. a little harder, heavier hit w/ stainless.....imo. Hope this makes sense. Would love to hear others' thoughts on this.

I would basically agree with you. Usually when describing the difference between a piloted steel joint and piloted ivory one from the same maker, I say that the ivory feels like it has a softer hit than the steel, but still a very solid hit. Much more solid than the same maker with an ivory substitute joint. But, as with all things related to "how a cue hits", it's all subjective. Ask 10 people, and you'll likely get 10 different answers.

The One Question On My Mind Is: HOW DO THEY HIT???

--Smitty

I have 2 that I haven't chalked yet. I bought them for an investment. If I would have known that they were coming in with a solid piloted joint I would have tried to get a 30"/30" one to play with. I'm getting 2 of the next tributes. Dean is going to see if I can a 60"er in the next round. So, I dunno.

Ivory Joint Schon (CP) Tribute

Got mine in the mail, yesterday. Ran 62 in a little straight pool match against myself. Lives up to all the talk!

I have always known Schon makes a great custom cue, and I have played with a few over the years. But, this one they have knock this out of the ballpark. Looks and playability. WOW!

Looking forward to Ivory Joint Schon #2!

dean does not have any now
Schon is experiencing some trouble with ivory and I am waiting for a few that should already be here

Ivory is an unusual product, for long periods no one has trouble and then everything goes
wrong at once

Right now Schon is having trouble
and this is causing me to apologize to a few of you

and I amnot sure that the next batch of schon ivory joint cues
will materialize ,for that reason I am taking no deposits

If not,you fellas who own one now are indeed blessed to have a very rare cue indeed
