Anyone building a similar light weight product, or is the Hagger still not being made no more.

Even checked e-bay as I would assume someone offshore would have come up with a similar item.

You are lucky, me dumb sold mine.

Not familiar with the Hagger, but AZB member @blokid makes lovely, uber light custom CF extensions, my 8” ext is 2.4 oz, very nice to work with.

Mike Pancerny does also, my 8” ext is sub 3.5 oz. Top notch product & very cool guy.

Depending on what cue/buttcap style you have, some cue makers can help you adapt the Predator extension.

All 3 of those are similar, very lightweight, and very well designed IMO. I give a slight nod to the Pancerny & Predator because of their QR joints. @blokid’s uses a threaded pin that requires a few more turns but is the lightest.

Hope this is useful.

Cheers

I have had one for about 15 years and love it. Since I only use it for extreme reaches I like that it works with any cue I might own and don't have to alter the cue.

Do not know why the company folded, and no one kept building?
I don’t recall 100%

I spoke to John Hagger a few times, he gave me a case. Was building out a website in 08 I think it was, he had a good plan going and then something happened.

I’m not sure if it was the crash in 08 or something with his son, I was surprised he stopped building his product line.

It wasn’t because someone died or that bad, but I don’t recall a happy ending. Someone here from Ga should know.

He sure was a good guy and I liked him. I still have that case. It weighs more than I do and could run it over with a Hummer and your cues would be fine.

The "Drill Sergeant" has one on his web site call the Bazooka CX-19. I had one, until it got stolen, and worked will. Need to get another one.

I use the Tony Ryan oak wood extenders. I have the 12” and 18” versions.
Any shot I can’t comfortably reach using the 18”, I revert & rely on a bridge.
I prefer the Tony Ryan extender because it feels more like an actual cue butt.

Well the Hagger was a great extender, it was priced very reasonable, and best of all it worked great.

Maybe someday, someone, will buy the rights, and sell again under $25.00

Surprised this has not already happened.

I'd like to show you all something interesting. This is my cue extender and it works great. It's 16 1/2" long and the inside diameter at the flared end is 1 1/4". The outside diameter at the butt end (where you hold it) is also 1 1/4". It's made of hard plastic and is easy to grip, and it slides on nice and snug on my cue, which fits about 2" inside the flared end.

But this part has to be a secret between only us, okay. I found this excellent cue extender at a thrift shop about a block away from Hard Times ($2). It is actually an extension piece for a vaccum cleaner! There are many old vaccums being thrown away or discarded that have similar extensions. I've had this one for about 20 years now! Okay, class over.
