Very accurate assessment Doc. I will not launch into a bunch of name dropping, but I know most of my contemporaries either died way too young or died penniless. Many times I have said, "there but for the grace of God". Almost all of our "pool heroes" could have been successful in many other walks of life. The fact that they chose the least rewarding path, does not make them bad people. I knew Jack Hines very well, and consider him a great player and a good human being. I'm sure Billy was very sad at seeing what had happened to him.
