I sent my lid to Jack Fed Ex, and the box got there today.
He's making me a whole new lid and strap, with all the extra tooling and all that, with the thicker leather he now uses, on his weekend time and shipping it back to me on Monday.

I'm confused ... did you rivet the broken side yourself or is it some type of snap? It looked like the other side was the snap side and the side that broke had a couple of rivets in it. Are they both snaps?
Regardless, gotta love when a person makes a product that is so good, he knows he can totally back it up, especially because the need to repair will be few and far between. It's funny how the crappier the quality of the item, the crappier the customer service tends to be, huh?
chris, what a great positive thread, thank you. i own a few of jack's cases including a 3x6 i use as my everyday case. i remember the first case i bought from jack and emailing him with a hundred questions and he was great to work with. he answered every question and gave me some valuable help and insights so that i felt fantastic about my new case. jack, thank you for all that you do for us az-ers.
