Anybody know her? She just moved into town from Boulder. I know/play with her dad. She's taking over management of our local room, trying to turn it around. She's also offering lessons, which I'm considering. According to her website, she was the 03 BCA Women's 8-ball champion. I'm hoping someone knows her well and can comment on her teaching credentials and playing aptitude.

She definitely isn't ugly.

She plays 10 ball, and I'm pretty much the only other person in town who plays 10 ball. It's mostly 9 ball and 1 pocket around here. I'm sure we'll end up playing anyways.

I played a session with Jackie at Tom Ross's place on Broadway. She's a cool lady and a good player. Guessing that she gives a good lesson.

Lessons are a good thing....SPF=randyg

While this is true to an extent, I know firsthand from golf that lessons from a bad teacher do more harm than good. You should always get the credentials and talk to former students (if possible) of someone you are going to take lessons from. It's just not smart to walk in on blind faith. Hence this thread.

Super nice girl!!!!

Jackie is a complete sweetheart and is starting to become a very strong player. Her game continues to get better and better especially the mental part of it. I think she would be a great teacher depending on the level of the student. Obviously if you play like Efren, might not be as valuable. I used to play with her dad alot when he lived in Denver. Both super nice people. If you talk to them tell them Greg from Denver said hello>

Good Luck!!!!!

I sure will Greg, I play with her dad on a semi-regular basis. He's a pretty strong player. He also does some top-notch cue repair. He keeps trying to take my money, but hasn't been able to yet lol. I've seen Jackie play a little bit, and from what I've seen it seems like we play at a similar speed, give or take depending upon the game.

Jackie has been a regular player in the Denver area for several years.
She's a very serious player, always nice to people, and is quite attractive.
The famous Dave Hughes has been her coach and mentor, and she's going to do well.
Both as a player and a diplomat for the game.

Peace

Ted

I'll second what Ted said.
I have played her in tournaments and she knows her way around a pool table.
