From another thread: Joey Gray won, James Walden got 2nd
Ah, the student is finally beating up on the teacher...
That Joey Gray is a player to watch; he's going to be a monster if he keeps developing the way he has been.
Thanks for the report from my old stomping grounds, Trigger.
I was there this weekend, Joey was shooting lights out, James was shooting great also. I left at 6pm sun eve and Joey Grey, James Walden, Chip Compton, Gabe Owen, Jeff Melton, John Gabriel were all that was left when I had to go. Lots of great shooting this weekend
Thanks for the Posts,
Joey shoots straight"
Im glad for his win...
Its nice , for Me , to see James shooting some pool again too,
He used to come to Tulsa and play tourneys, and some match-ups for the cash,
Always played great!
Yea, Joey was shooting good. A cpl people mentioned that if James had a shot clock put on him he wouldnt have done so well. I dont know, its the first I ever seen him play but he sure did take a long time, but it was really fun to watch him shoot. John Gabroel was shooting great as well.....had a fun time there.
You should see James play one pocket...He takes at least a minute on every shot. He doesn't make many careless errors, though.
Absolutely"
James is a very deliberate player...
Very Thorough, on Every Shot, Stroke, etc...
But...
He could Win BIG $$$$$
I totally agree...Just watching him shoot you knew he thought of every possible way to shoot that ball and knew exactly where the QB was gonna go. He was very methodical and it was fun to watch him
I watched him beat Chip, Melton, and Gabe and although he my have missed a few balls he rarely, if ever, missed shape. When there was a safety battle he almost always got the best of it and was moving better than anyone he played including Gabe, another renowned 1 pocket player. I don't mind the slow play when someone plays at that level. I am out of state and only got to watch it being streamed but it was good to see James back at the table playing high caliber pool.
