James Walden is looking for a house pro job

zero difference

At the risk of looking foolish....I don't see any difference. If there is, please explain it to me/us.

That said, I'd take some money odds and let my opponent decide. :)

Your're right, there's exactly zero difference. ;) They sound different though, and this leads to some games and spots that aren't so "obvious".

CJ, would you really give him the 2 out and the breaks. I doubt I play as good as he does and I would take that spot from anyone in the World.

I have a "matching up question" for anyone to answer: Which is more of a spot, the last four and the six ball, the last four and the 7 ball OR the last four and the 8 ball?

Which one would YOU rather have as a spot? Which one would you rather give up as a spot?

id take the last four and the 6 for sure.

The way this worded it seems you are talking about 9-Ball. Since the 6, 7 and 8 are always part of the last 4 (if they are still on the table) it makes no difference whatsoever.
So what I get makes no difference, if I were giving it then make it the 6 + last 4 since it sounds like more when it isn't.

In 10-ball the 6 + last 4 would obviously be the bigger spot.

If you have an option for the wild ball in the last 4, take the lightest colored ball. Dark balls can be a little harder to see to make a good combo on. Take any little edge you can get. :P

How did this get away from James W. finding a house pro gig? If you've got a line on a job, let him know. If you want to compare spots, start a new thread. If i sound a lil' edgy it's because my back is messed-up, i gotta have surgery and not even these damn percocets are helping. sorry

Ow... sorry to hear it/

Send 'em to me and I will see if they are any good.

This is an epic thread IMO. James if you make a miracle happen and get that dream job you should throw some jelly Scott and CJ's way.

I saw Mika in a tournament where he gave EVERYONE the one out (no breaks). He won several rounds before he was beaten.

There is zero difference in getting the 6 and last 4, or the 7 and last 4, or the 8 and last 4. All are the same game.

Nothing wild on the break right?
I used to played a weekly tourney where everyone was so frightened, I could give them anything.

I thought that- an did it- until the owner said I had to give everyone the 4 out and the breaks. I never won a game like that. Couple weeks, I didn't even shoot.
