ahhh....the way a titlist should be converted....showing off the nice long full spliced points....

do you happen to know if theres a was a handle added or is it all original full splice under that wrap??

really nice cue Cain...

Those Points

Yeah...I'm pretty sure that Bogey is right.

And yeah...that's about as good as Titlist points look, IMHO.

I have not spoken to James about this cue, but you can tell that he was in an Ol' Skool Pool Hall mood when he made this cue.

I love it. If I didn't need to finish my tumble down chateau in the ol' hills of the HWood, I would ABSOLUTELY keep it.

That's why Greg has it and I have NO INTENTION OF ACTUALLY LAYING A HAND ON IT. To me...that cue...embodies TEMPTATION.

"Stand away from the cue, Mr. DeVore. Stand away from the cue."

when you see long points like that, a handle is cut in.

not always but the odds are definitely in favor of having a handle..

i have a titlist conversion with long points and wrap like that which was not cut for a handle/extension....

57 and a Quarter

True.

The fact that it is a 57 and a quarter inch cue, with 29 inch shafts, makes me think that it could well be a Titlist that he did not cut into.

Which seems like something Jim would like to do on such a traditional cue.

Jim? Can you help us out here?

You have grown men (myself included) coveting another one of your cues.

We need some historical background data.

Please advise.

Thanks.

This cue was made for Mark Kulungian. Sold to a friend of Guy Crunches a few mos ago. The cue is Bushka patterned after MK's favorite inlay pattern. Mark says whoever gets this cue is getting a SUPER players cue.

i was there the night my friend bought this cue from mark. in person this cue is stunning and a fantastic player as well. i could see some disappointment in mark's face when he sold this cue due to the fact it wouldn't be his anymore. whoever acquires this cue is getting a real work of art.

I'VE SEEN CUEMAKERS THAT ADD ROSEWOOD AT THE BUTT, TO EXTEND THE POINTS, INSTEAD OF ADDING A HANDLE. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS WAS DONE TO THIS ONE BUT I'VE SEEN IT DONE.

Mark has great tastes in classic cues! I have a Gus that was once in his collection, and it is just a knock-out cue.

Thanks to you Joe, and to Mark for the shout-out about the cue being a SUPER players cue.

And to Guy as well. It's always good to learn the history of these great cues.

The irony is that your posts make me wanna' keep the cue and play it all the more.

But the Cue Police are still LOCKED & LOADED on me.

"Stand down Mr. DeVore. Step AWAY from the cue."

Better stock up on the Zoloft....

Cain are you emotionally stable enough to be selling this cue?...I mean if it depressed a dealer like Mr. Kulungian to let it go...what's it going to do to a passionate "cue nut" like yourself?

I wish I could have hit some balls with this cue...It sure looked and felt like a cue I could have fell in love with, but Greg is always to anxious to get back home to his lovely wife Patty...I guess who could blame him..

So BDC...it's a must that you never touch, assemble, or play with this cue or it shall remain in your collection forever...

Best of Luck!

Jeremy

The question of my emotional stability is always a slippery slope, Jeremy.

Although I doubt that I am more passionate about cues than Mark Kulungian, I am certainly more of a "nut".

I am actually afraid to hit balls with this cue. Not only because of it's beauty and classicism and now I learn...great hit.

But also due to the co-dependent - addictive SPIRAL that I would be sure to fall into like a bad case of Hitchcockian VIRTIGO.

Also because I might just do what I usually do, and that my therapist is REALLY STRUGGLING to get me to stop...I would most likely start sleeping with the cue.

No...it's nothing tawdry like THAT!

I just like to cuddle with the good ones.

Is that wrong? I mean...that's not weird...is it?

Don't answer that.

My therapist would tell you...I'm not quite ready do deal with the truth of it all.

Not just yet.

So, as you can see...whoever buys this cue...not only saves me...they SAVE THE CUE as well.

BIG TIME rescue operation here...on multiple levels.

Early Scruggs...Early Morning

One of my favorite old Scruggs cues, a cocabola Merry Widow - the first custom cue I ever bought.

Photographed here, lounging in bed this morning, enjoying a cup of Joe and Newsweek magazine, while I prepare French Toast in the kitchen.

A Bit Offended

My old Scruggs was a bit offended that I did not tell y'all that she's got a Micarta Joint.

C.

Would you have a VERY MERRY WIDOW if the WHITE and SCRUGGS slept togethor?????

Sleeping with Q's or cue components is NOT recommended. Rumor has it that a former poster somehow, someway ended up with a 14mm tip lodged up his ..... Numerous medical procedures were required to RECTIFY the problem. Not covered by insurance
