James White Snakewood and M.Stacey F/S

Sweet Cues

I really enjoy anything that James White puts out. Too bad it's not tax season or I would pay at least $2,700 for it. Well, maybe if I am lucky there might be a James White up by then for less. Good Luck with your sale.

Mike Stacey Himself

Just an update as Mike Stacey himself has chimed in and the shaft with the shorter ferrul is a predator 314. The original customer had mike make it from a blank. Sure was nice for Mike to chime in . Not a lot of cue makers follow up on there stuff after the sale.

Thanks for the kind words. I feel the cue will be sold for between 2 and 2250 unless 2 people decide the really must have it. Reserve is a bit less than that. I like the fact it is a 5 pointer. Makes it a little bit different and more interesting in my opinion.

Wow,is that pot your smokin in that pipe in your avatar.A plain white with no inlay or bushka ring work for 2700:eek: . 2200-2300 bran spnakin new with out damaged ferrule might be more like it. Give him a deposit now and pay the 2300 in a few months if you think its worth 2700!:D
LOL

I believe the cue would be more in the $2700-2800 range brand new. Real lizard wrap, fancy diamond and dot ringwork and an ivory joint and ferruls. The 1 ferrul really isn't damaged mearly scratched very lightly and I wanted to mention it so that there would be no nit picking after the sale. maybe classic cues or someone else like spanky981 that orders from them would please chime in about what they feel this cue would cost new. I would take them at their word.

Here's one from Gary asking 2700 brand new shipped, alot of cue. Just for comparison and its been for sale awhile.Gary is a great seller and he knows a ton about cues as anyone would agree. Price is really what someone is willing to pay if they really want it anyway, this is just a example. One dealer may say x amount of dollars for a cue and another may say y amount of dollars for a cue.Its all subjective.
Good Luck

I WAS CLOSE I FIGURED IT TO 2440, BUT I FORGOT THAT THEY CHARGE EXTRA FOR THE SNAKEWOOD. AT LEAST I WAS CLOSE.

P.S. THIS IS A VERY NICE CUE FROM THE MOTTEY SHOP.

Price Increase

Yeah,

But the $2550 new from Jim White was also a Year and a Half Ago. We all know how prices for everything go up in time. I think the same cue now would be a little higher but you would still have to wait on the list until it was finished. IMO that is the difference.

Thank You

Special thanks to our resident James White Expert Spanky981 and sharp all around cue and Tascarella expert Marcus. I really appreciate you guys clearing this up. This is one of the best things about AZ in my opinion. When there is discussion about a cue and there is discussion on ethier side of an issue and a concenus is reached. In the end everyone wins by gaining more knowledge. Thats what it's all about.:)

Your welcome.. Also that was $2550 without charging for the snakewood..

I agree the price is right in the ball park. It's a very nice cue with good figure in the snakewood.

A self serving bump. Only a few hours to go.... 50+ watchers on the James White only a little more needed to meet reserve. Those of you looking to snipe make sure you bid enough cause with that many watchers I'd hate to see you miss out. 25 watching the Stacey cue that is a gift at it's current price and will meet reserve soon. Thanks

Stacey relisted going no reserve and I don't pull my auctions so no disappointments.

Crazy People

Yes, that be my wash tub pipe. And to me, James White cues are priceless. I made the mistake of test hitting one in Atlanta, it felt real strong and tasted like chicken. So, when tax season comes around I'll be looking for my James White cue. And I will email the pics to the James White expert for his expert opinion. Thanks, I hope your sale was good.
