Nice...any comments, or complaints by Allison? ;)

Allison Fisher is by far my favorite women's player. She's had a wonderful career, but I agree that she is starting to "look old" at least at the table. When this new generation is running racks, she sits stoically but I often guess that she is thinking that she doesn't have the energy level anymore.

As for Jasmin Ouschan, wow! She has the look of utter seriousness while she stalks the balls. To me, she looks like she's always mad at the balls, or trying to prove a point to them when she's at the table. I especially like the over the shoulder stare she gives the empty table as she walks away from the recently deposited 9 ball. What a talent! I enjoy watching her style of play.

Funny you should mention that...

When I saw Fisher in taiwan during the WPC, I felt Fisher is getting older. Sad.....:(

While watching the Carolina Women's Billiards Classic, I was informed by some female viewers that Allison appears to have had some "work" done—specifically an eyelid lift, filler added under her eyes and botox to the forehead. Apparently the term for this is "Freshened Up".

My own opinion is that Allison is genetically blessed with good looks and good skin which hasn't seen a whole lot of sun, given that her lifelong avocation is enjoyed indoors, and that a bit of carefully applied makeup is probably responsible.

allison fisher

allison does need to think about quitting the game she is getting old for pool she just can't take it anymore the new players are starting to beat allison at her own game like at the begining of the tournament she was doing fine until she messed up in the quarter finals:)

thanks

It is my understanding that she had a bout with skin cancer somewhere around her eye or eye lid and that may account for what your female viewers were thinking. Not Freshened Up.

Allison has had a great career. Although she may not be Queen of the Hill for much longer, she's hardly over-the-hill.

I think that Jassman is it! She is my new favorite player. She doesn't play like the other women rolling balls around, she plays aggressive and like a man! Allison still shoots good although she did miss a few surprising shots. It's a lot of pressure when someone gets up on you 4-0.

Well, as Jasmin is my future wifey and breadmaker lol

I think the new, generation is in full force with Pan, Ga-young, and Jasmin leading the way.

I'd bet all of my Vbookie points that at the end of this year there will be a new top female on tour.

I think Jasmin is getting ready to takeover. Not only that, but she plays all games well including a mean straight pool game.

I think Allison is far from washed up. She may not be the best player on the tour right now, but she will still win tournaments in the future. She's still the dutchess.
That being said, I think Ga Young Kim is the best player on tour right now, with Jasmin and Kelly Fisher giving chase.
And you can never forget about Karen Corr, She's always lurking in the shadows.

Pan, and Ga Young Kim, I cant wait untill I see them Again, while I think Jasmin IMHO is the better Run out Player But, Baby please, SMILE once in a while. lol...

Pan is one of my most favorite players (women)
Ga Young Kim is my most favorite woman Player Not at first, but she won me over when I watched her win under pressure looking sexy. thats priceless.

I could care less who wins or looses, or who they play, I just want MORE...lol

I certainly hope you're not serious. It's not like she lost to you.

What's up with this format. Doesn't Allison only have one loss?
The WPBA has switched to a modified double elimination format (final 16 is single elimination). Their goal was to get fresh blood into the TV rounds. It looks like their wish is coming true.

-djb <-- not reading too much into Jasmin beating Allie, since KF destroyed Jasmin 7-0 in the final....
