Jasmin Ouschan

She is cute, but regardless, she was kicking some butt at the 14.1 Championships this past week.

Sex sells, and pool doesn't! If she looked like Ichabod Crane, not many would notice her.

I like Jeanette Lee's skills set, contributions to the sport, and accomplishments in pool, and to top it off, she's pretty, too! :)

Seems all so-called unrecognized sports are starting to use sex to promote it. It is really sad=( But i like the hotties.lol;)

I'm a big fan. Her stroke and stance really stood out at the 14.1 Worlds last year when I saw her.

I'm torn on how I feel about her attractiveness wins her popularity with the game that she is also very good at. I don't think it should matter, but it does.

Jeannette Lee has demonstrated that her looks and her game combined could be used to create interest and market the game.

I sent her a letter yesterday....

Sorry...It's not the talent they are recognizing !!!
You're probably right, but she's a heck of a pool player on top of her looks! She breaks as hard as any woman I can remember seeing.

More press recognition for Jasmine as she rightfully deserves. Even non billiard related sport sites recognize talent when they see it. She is the next big thing in billiards. She's got great looks but more importantly in my book she's got great talent on the field of green.

I would love to read the article in its entirety. Unless I'm missing something I don't see the whole article but few short comments. I've only watched her on the TV matches but she does seem to possess an extraordinary talent and skills for the game. I also like the intensity she wears on her sleeve.

No offense to Allison or Karen, because their accomplishments speak for themself, but Jasmin may be the best women pool player since Jean Balukas. She can get in there and mix it up with the guys at any game (well, not One Pocket YET), and have a good chance of winning. Granted Karen has had phenomenal success on the very tough Joss Tour and Allison has beaten some men, but they just don't have the same kind of game as Jasmin.

When you watch Jasmin play, you are watching a POOL PLAYER, not a woman playing Pool. Does that make sense? I love the way she goes for the shots and isn't afraid to let her stroke out. She is what I call, a PLAYER!

Prior to Jasmin, Jeanette was the strongest challenger against the guys (and still is a good one). I love the way Jeanette would play One Pocket and Banks with the guys, and she could definitely hold her own. Check her Derby City results. High finishes in both divisions.

All that being said, Jasmin has a bigger game than all three. How far she will go remains to be seen. Jeannie was just starting to break through against the men when she "retired". Too bad because it was starting to look like she had a chance to win a "Mens" event.

I hope Jasmin continues on her "break through" career. She could be just what Pool needs. Look at what Sarah Fisher has done for auto racing. And when Annika played in some men's golf tournaments, it was big news. I say, "LET THE WOMEN PLAY AGAINST THE MEN!" It will be great for Pool.

Also, she dresses professionally and doesn't use her sexuality or (gorgeous) appearance to further her popularity.

I totally agree with this statement. She lets her talent do the talking when it comes to promoting the game just as Allison and Karen and many of the other women on tour do. I like to see the crossover of women playing in the mens' events as well.

She's the next Jean Balukas, in my opinion. What other female can hang with the men like she does?
There is absolutely no reason a woman can't be a world beater.

She will. It is only a matter of time. The profits will be worth it...and I personally, cannot wait!

don't know for sure whtehr she will or not, but i make no bones about the fact i would be very happy about it. although believe it or not he pool playing skills would still be her biggest draw to me.

i think it was jay who mentioned that watching her, she's a real pool player in the true sense of the word. especially, considering the two players that have dominated womens pool for so long are both snooker converts. whilst still being great, they don't play pool in that pure sense, the way balukas supposedly played it, or the greats like strickland, efren, hall, etc.

The best since...???

She is really good - I agree, BUT...
what about xiao-ting pan?

Between the of them they rock, but I would not put one past the other. Pan's safety play is pretty awesome and her potting is pretty good too :p
