I read your comment. I tried to prepare myself before I clicked the link. It was in vain. It's HORRIBLE! What are they trying to do to people! My eyes just fell out of my head. I'm never going to be able to play again!

Seriously, that must be a holdback from 1997. They even had moving gifs on the right hand side. Unfortunately the wayback machine is broken at the moment, so I can't check how old that design is. But WOW!

For some reason I don't think Jasmin feels as comfortable in the US as she does in Europe and some other countries. She doesn't seem to play as consistent here that often. I could be wrong, I've been wrong a few times already this year. Johnnyt

Darren is not the only male top player she had beat. The names of Tony Drago, Fabio Petroni or Stephan Cohen come to my mind... she had beat them in 9 ball, race to 10 in an alternate break format

The big deal, aside the fact most people generalizing that female pros cannot compete along side male pros... It's Darren Appleton that Jasmin's beaten in 8 Ball! Darren is considered by many to be one of best 8 ball player in the World. As for the English 8 ball, which is popular at his home turf (playing with much smaller Q-ball), I hear he is untouchable. I've seen him in actions at DCC, and this guy is a MONSTER!

Great match for Jasmin. I wish I could have been there to see it. She was a clear underdog, but managed to pull off a victory over one of the best 8-ball players in the world.

The first time I saw Jasmin play was the 2006 14.1 World Championships where she placed 5th, and I was impressed with her game (stroke, shotmaking, position, blah blah blah) but more so by her mental tenacity. She's got one of the meanest game faces out there. She's competitive without being disrespectful; very much reminds of me a young Allison Fisher when she's circling the table.

I wish her the best for the rest of the tournament. I'm sure she feels the weight of being the sole woman in the tournament, and fulfilling a lot of the attention that she's received since being recognized as a pool prodigy in Europe and making a name for her Stateside by winning the BCA over Allison two years ago.
