Jason “Buffalo” Hunt vs Scott Simonetti

Is anybody else following this potential matchup on Facebook? Scott started barking at Jason in a previous thread about Mark Griffin. I think Scott tried to high roll Jason and he called his bluff.

So Jason started a new post challenging Scott for $10,000 - $20,000. I hope they play but it looks to me like Scott is back-petalling and is afraid to play. Hopefully they play, it would be a great matchup!

Regardless, all of this barking is quite entertaining. You just can’t make this stuff up. Check it out on Jason’s page.

Who are they and why should we follow this? Can either one make two balls?

Jason plays pretty decent. I don't know who Scott is, but when guys highroll people, it's just bullying. Jason stepped up and Scott is now a shrinking violet? Sounds like a lame duck to me.

Scott was on the tv show "The Hustlers". I agree, he tried to high roll, and Jason called his bluff. Now he's backpedaling, but still trying to make it look like Jason is at fault. Kind of coming off as kind of a douche if you ask me. If he doesn't want to play, just say so. I haven't read any of it today, saw it yesterday morning.

Sorry, I figured everyone knew these two guys.

Jason Hunt plays very well and has won many open tournaments. He plays a level below the pros. Shoet stop speed I guess you would call it. He’s lived all over the country and makes a living by gambling and playing amateur tournaments. He’s been living in New Orleans for the past few years.

Scott Simonetti also plays very well from what I’ve heard. He lives in New York City and was on The Hustlers reality show.

I've been following this as well and I have to say that it's been fun following Jason's antics over the years. He's been mocked and laughed at on this site and I've even joined in on some of it. Now of course I don't really know the guy but he's grown on me and I can't help but root for him. So I hope this match takes place and if it does I hope he wins.

I predict that won't end well.

Sounds exciting and I wish him luck.

Having known Jason for years and played him many times, I'm making some popcorn. This could get interesting. I've referred to Jason as the "Clown Prince of Pool" for a good reason.

Is Scott the guy who is missing part of an arm and uses a variety of extensions to play? If so, this may be much more of an even match than some think. May have watched him play at SBE last year.

Can someone please add a link to the original thread for this old guy.

He’s been supporting himself through pool for the past 15 - 20 years.

I don't doubt that one bit.

And he will have that big 401K to fall back on. Oh wait, gamblers don't have that.

There is also a nice fat Social Security check to rely on at age 65. Oh wait, you mean gamblers don't pay 1.2% to Social Security on their winnings?

I still wish anyone who attempts to make a living that way a lot of luck. They'll need it.

Thanks Paul. Yep, that's the guy I watched. Plays pretty sporty. Still don't feel Jason is the favorite. Strangely, didn't notice he walks with one prosthetic leg as well. Thought he was "just another really good pool player". Kudo's to him for his hard work and success.
