One Pocket is the only game where you can truly match up and being the underdog have an opportunity to win. What is so cool about One Pocket is the intrigue that goes into a match ala Tony vs Dennis. Tony was buried and found that kiss off which he took about 5 minutes to finally shoot. As we all watched, he got down so many times finally talking himself into shooting it and baboom he made it and essentially the game and match was over. That doesn't happen in rotation games too much and the drama of One Pocket leads to the excitement of those shots. Lastly, old geezers can play competitive One Pocket into their old age not unlike trying to play the rotation games. I also think we will see more Bank Pool being played as it tends to be so much like One Pocket with the moves and great shots both defensive and offensive being executed.

I used to watch Jimmy Fusco play all night at the Boulevard Social Club in Philly in the late 60's early 70's. All the best players came through there at one time or another. The big dollar game in that room was one pocket.

And they might even try to get a man in a 'back pocket 9b' game in philly.
