Jay I just want to compliment you on the great job you did comentating at this year's US Open as well as enduring the long hours of sitting in the booth especially the match with Souquet and Gallego til almost 5am. I was watching that match on BCN and I definately felt for you during that match. :) Anyway kudos buddy you did a great job!

Thanks for this. You know I have to tell you, from all the years running tournaments, I always enjoyed sweating the last match of the night. That's the match for the real die hard pool fans. And there were about two dozen people who sat there sweating this one too.

It's a little harder to get up the next day than it was back then, but I knew I would not be working the 1PM match (I was scheduled for the second match at 3PM), so I wasn't too worried. As it was I slept about four hours, got up and went across the street to the other hotel where I could get on a computer, and checked my 84 e-mails and fifteen PM's. I still managed to have breakfast and make it over to the tournament arena about Noon, just in case Rob needed me early.

This is par for the the course for me at a pool tournament, long days and very little sleep. Usually when I get home, I sleep for two days straight just to get rejuvenated. I'm going to bed now.

Goodnight Jay and i look forward to hearing your commentary,i have enjoyed it in the past and also hearing you on www.runoutradio.com :)

When it comes to commentating, Jay is the MAN! He makes the match interesting just listening to him. He's up there in my list of favorite commentators, which includes Matthews, Incardona, and DiLiberto.

As I said in another thread, I thought you did a great job Jay. I thoroughly enjoyed your commentating.

On a side note: What has happened to Mark Wilson and his commentating? Haven't heard from him in quite a while. I like him behind the mic also.
