‘Chalk’ might be an unfair advantage, true.and cigarette smoke and wood cues and masters chalk and no music and no gloves

Clutch shot! How long did Jayson think about what to do?Bingo!
Well done!
I’m not a 14.1 player and often don’t see the pattern. However I can play banks and I did spot this shot.
He beat the scratch and used the whole pocket. Considering the run it was a super high pressure shot and he made it. It was really the only time he was in real trouble during the run.
Probably 3-4 minutes, may have been less time, it’s hard to say, seemed like a long time. It took me a good bit of time to see as well, it’s hard to judge time thinking back about it. Great question. I saw it pretty fast(I didn’t see anything else), but because it was on a screen I wasn’t sure if it even went-passing between the 2 balls, the scratch didn’t enter my mind. For sure there was some luck on my part to have seen the shot, as I couldn’t tell if it was makable.Clutch shot! How long did Jayson think about what to do?
Bob Jewett's article in the February issue of Billiards Digest shows the rack times for every rack. Rack 37 was the longest of all 59 full racks, at 5 minutes and 19 seconds. The majority of the racks were in the range of 2½ to 3½ minutes. Bob said that Jayson took "over two minutes" to decide on that bank shot with the run at 505.Clutch shot! I’d go with Bob’s numbers 100%. I didn’t time the racks, I did make notes on each rack, I still have those notes just not with me now.Bob Jewett's article in the February issue of Billiards Digest shows the rack times for every rack. I have trouble telling which balls are which. Lot of possibles in that mess.Cut the 10, swerve the 11, cut the 15 side or corner, billiard the 12 off the 10, billiard the 2 off the 12, shoot the 12, 9, 11 combo, ...
Is that the 11?? Thot it was the 13!!bank the eleven? in the top left?
between the 3 and the 14
Got my vote!!AMEN!!!
Classic one pocket shot.Bingo!
Well done!

I hope everyone watches this accomplishment, it will always be one of the greatest 14.1 runs ever imo. If someone runs 1200 today, this still is so clean and just good that it won’t fall off the radar.

More precisely, from when it would have been legal for him to shoot and when he shot was two minutes and 17 seconds, which is longer than it took for the whole first rack.... Bob said that Jayson took "over two minutes" to decide on that bank shot with the run at 505.
Yes that’s what it is. A 1P bank. The question was “does it go?”Classic one pocket shot.
That's not the shot I would have tried.Yes that’s what it is. A 1P bank. The question was “does it go?”
When he shot it, it seemed like forever, time just stopped. Everything possible could have went wrong. Tick a ball, hang it, scratch, next shot?. We all know it worked out, but it was a scary situation. That’s why I asked if I could post that pic here. Not my run, not my video. Was cool that Bobby let me post that pic, I hope everyone enjoyed it.
Thx to Bobby for everything!

Seriously, if they're clear, they go. 5" apertures no less....I have trouble telling which balls are which. Lot of possibles in that mess.
Welcome to the club.Seriously, if they're clear, they go. 5" apertures no less....
Now in 2 digits of racks I haven't a clue.![]()
I have to wonder how many promising runs over time (using Masters chalk) were ended with a ‘skid’ (?) Still, likely a minor issue since it takes cue ball cleaning out of the process. But, the way the balls spread when they are racked leaning against each other, is something else again.‘Chalk’ might be an unfair advantage, true.
I don’t know if any player has the perseverance or stamina to match Jayson’s. It would have to be a very fast paced player like Filler.Nice to hear and well done, Jayson. Records are made to be broken. Who's next?
What an incredible shot…obviously the bank is doable but looks like he’s got to hit bottom left to avoid the scratch and twist the 11 into the pocket while avoiding the 3 ball. Also looks like quite a stretch for a lefty.Yes that’s what it is. A 1P bank. The question was “does it go?”
