Many years ago the term "anklebiter" was a common insult online. Long since dead language, I feel John Barton is a worthy candidate to usher it back in.

lol, hadn't heard that one in a while. JB is a good fit.

Really? I bet 10k of my OWN money on myself in a match that I was the underdog in AFTER being berated into it across TWO FORUMS over a span of several years with a coordinated effort of at least four people and you call me an ankle biter?

Wow.

And now I offer to bet the guy 20k asking NOTHING more than he come here to pick it up and this is somehow wrong?

You all have a way different idea of gambling than I do. I am definitely GAMBLING in this match. You all also have a different idea of HEART than I do. Where I come from when the underdog says double the bet then he is showing a lot of heart and probably a lot of stupidity as well.

But hey, you are entitled to your opinion. I know who I am and what I stand for. I certainly don't form conspiracies to hustle people. Not that I was "hustled" but they sure think that they did and they are very proud of their accomplishment.

When this ALL started I was BEING POLITE to Lou and HONORING THE AGREEMENT WE SHOOK HANDS ON AT DCC in 2003. I wasn't nasty to this man at all and was always complimentary to him.

Some of prefer to see it otherwise because you don't like me. But the fact is that the record shows Lou was a major major major antagonist on Rec.Sport.Billiards not only to myself but to many others on this and several topics. A professional player who no longer posts here but who is active and engaging on Facebook was son incensed by Lou's comments that he wanted to knock him out.

During my travels in the run-up to the match I heard many "Lou" stories about how disliked he is in the poolrooms. So sure, try to put it all on me but you would be wrong.

...John knew the conditions were unacceptable when he made the offer. I do believe he would play if you accepted, but he was sure you would not.

Lou Figueroa

No, I will still play if Lou mans up and accepts. He has a backer in Texas who wants a good part of it. This guy bets a lot and did his homework. I am not retracting my offer just as I didn't retract it last time.

You retracted: all side bets with everyone here, all bets at the venue you said you'd cover up to $30K, and our $500 a game side bet.

Don't forget that he also used it as a marketing expense and said it made him more money before he got there, so it wasn't like he saved up anything in retirement.

I'd suggest an undercard, but that's kinda far and I'm lazy.

Your right I save the term heart for far more than doubling a bet ,, and gambling for me go way beyond expendable pocket cash

You consistently out-post people by massive numbers (and number of words) yet complain people are berating YOU... and honestly believe it.

Anyway, I hope this match happens and may the best player win.

This match won't happen. Lou has made an exceptionally reasonable offer and all we'll hear is crickets.

$10K, 6 ahead, STL.

There's your dough -- the same amount you lost. Stop whining like a little girl and come get it, nit.

Lou Figueroa

nah, not looking to break even, told you that.

you have my conditions. But honestly, I don't think you think that you are physically able to play at your age and so I wouldn't want to be responsible for you ending up in the hospital or dead trying to play an ahead set.

now you have to sign a health waiver if you ever find the courage to play a ten ahead set.

What does frequency of posting have to do with it?

Look I just got called a nit trying to double the bet against a better player.

BFD, you told me. That's not my problem or concern.

I am willing to give you a shot at the money you lost. If you had lost 20 I'd give you a shot at 20 but you weaseled out of all the additional bets you claimed you'd take, so all you get is a shot at 10.

All the pathetic woofing between these douche bags aside, this thread makes me happy because it is a straight up FU to Wilson and his horrible moderating. Keep it rolling a-holes.

Yep, bummer huh? Should have accepted my offer to double the bet and FREEZE UP the whole 20k the first FOUR TIMES I offered it.

This money is going away too..........Next saturday it will all be gone along with your opportunity to win it. And the only other thing you lost was any chance to have me come off the terms. You have until Friday to accept them if you really want to play.

If you want to come here for 10k then we have a bet. I am sure I can get another 10k on the side. I don't care if you lose it since I am sure you won't have more that 2k in the pot anyway.

Lou & JB;

The issues holding you boys up are surmountable.

Each of you, show a little flex and let's get-r-booked. :)

best,

Come to poppa. Otherwise drop it. I'm getting bored.

Brian, if John wants a shot at his dough he can come here. Mike, Dustin and I flew out to NJ because that's where John said he wanted to play. Now he can come to where I want to play, end of story.

And I am just about done with this baloney.
