Jeeves ~ What A Guy!

Can't say enough great stuff about Jeeves. He is so generous, loving and kind. He hosted that entire party, pizza and all with his own funds. He is not a wealthy man monetarily, but does this for us yearly. What a guy! I really think that funds need to be raised for him next yr, he deserves some help and I know that all who have attended his party wish for it to continue.

I suggest a raffle in addition to a door charge to get in. Atleast this way, he can recoop some of his expenses. What do you all think? Let's give him a hand!:D

im in!

eydie, i agree 100%. i had the opportunity to enjoy the party all 3 nights, and i had a blast. although i donated to the jar every night, im sure it didnt put a dent in his expenses. count me in for whatever it takes to keep the tradition going. see you april 1st.

I second that

I agree Eydie and you can write me down for $20 it might not seem like alot but, it's what I can spare...Jeeves is the man!

Jeeves, you da man!

I agree that if Jeeves is willing to keep the faith, I'm willing to kick in some. I made a contribution to the tip jar, but I noticed that it wasn't that full. Maybe we can start a collection before next year's Expo. Jeeves seems like the kind of guy that wouldn't ask, so it's up to us. Count me in.

Jeeves is a sweetheart that would give you the shirt of his back if you needed it.

By the time the Expo comes around next yr I should have the whole raffle thing down to a science! After the DCC I'll start on the Jeeves party raffles.

Jeeves, thank you for everything! :)

I finally got to meet Jeeves on Sunday afternoon before the so-called Staff Party. We were looking for a working ATM machine and ran into him at the Radisson. I recognized him from his avatar.

For next year why not get some vendors to donate stuff and hold a raffle? People just buy tickets, or even make them buy tickets at the door for legal purposes, then pick an item and pull a ticket.

Although I didn't stay too long I made sure to drop a nice tip in there for Jeeves and will do so again the next time.
The guy puts on a great spread and deserves to at least break even, if not make a little something for himself.

Thanks Jeeves.

I made a point of making a donation each night I was there, but I didn't notice a lot of others donating and the bucket was not overflowing, as it should have been.

Jeeves throws the best parties and I would be more than happy to help in any way I can to keep it going.

BTW, I also made a point of personally thanking Jeeves for past years and I appologized for not knowing the party was his. Many, including myself, were under the impression that it was the IP party, because that is who was inviting us.

No mistake - the impression was given that it was the Inside Pool party because that is what Jeeves did for his friend JR Calvert. Jr Calvert repaid this kindness with NOTHING. JR offered to pay for it when it got bigger and more expensive and then paid NOTHING.

Now we know the man behind the curtain is truly a wizard when it comes to throwing a bash!

One more thing - I personally don't like the idea of charging at the door or making this any more formal an affair. It's Jeeves' party and we should leave him alone to decide how best to run it. You all that attend just need to donate appropriately for the amount of fun, booze, food, and friendship you are getting.

I am all up for passing the collection plate to have a nice bit to donate next year but I will still be pumping up the tip jar when I go to the party.

John,

I agree that Jeeves may not want to charge at the door and it's his show to run. I think most here just want to figure a way to make sure Jeeves doesn't take a beating on future parties. Again, he seems like a good guy and doesn't ask anything from anybody. Because he doesn't ask, it's up to us that want to, to step up. Hell, we've done it for other AZB'ers.
