Jim Sal Cues-Opinions?

I see a number of Jim Sal cues on ebay that are attractive and reasonably priced.

I assume the seller js1444 is probably the cuemaker, has a lot of positive reviews.

For all I know he probably is a member here on this forum.

Anybody have any experience? Recommendations?

Thank you very much and you guys have a great one!

if a cuemaker isnt very well known you can be sure he is just starting out or doesnt make cues that are popular.
in either case you are gambling on the unknown.

Jim has a few youtube videos that may give you some insight into how he does things.

Here is his first one
He may be an excellent cue maker and great guy but his utube presentation skills need work in order to get anyone excited. (y)

So he is not making Black Boars in there.

If you just want a cue to play with (not a collectable) anyone with a lathe can "make" you one. I know a Phillipino man who turns out nice (low dollar) plane cues in a tiny workshop. He only has a lathe and some hand power tools (that's it).

I am thinking Jim Sal could build a nice $200 cue for you...
