And a 7-2 win over Potier to lock up third place. I was told that Hemmah played "lights out" to beat Mendoza in the semi-finals.

Okay Jimmy, now you showed your true speed, I gotta get the 8, maybe the break too. 10 wins in a row on the losers side is great but the fact that you finished higher than the "Great Bobalou" is the most impressive. How'd you do it? I noticed he used his real name so he wouldn't kill his action, that guy, I'll tell ya, he knows all the moves, huh. Ole Bobalou, one step ahead of everybody all the time. Anyway, good job, way to dig in and come back like you did. Losing your first match and then winning 10 in a row makes for a long weekend but I really thought you were the favorite when it was down to the last 4 because you had to be in dead punch by then. Peace.

I didn't actually participate against Dave in my last match. I pushed a few times, kicked a few times, jumped once and shot a masse once. It's tough to win like that!

Thanks for the support everyone. I felt like I had a chance, especially with the single set finals.
 
Awesome job, Jimmy. Ten wins against that caliber of competition on the losers side is pretty strong.

Is Jimmy going to play in the UPA event in LA ? If not, I hope he plays DCC. It's pretty cool to have someone to root for from AZbilliards.
 
Wow Jimmy those are some big names you took down, Parica is a legend and Potier plays a great game as well. Sounds like you didn't get a chance against Hemmah but then again you beat him in Reno so don't feel to bad.

Jimmy are you going to the UPA event or the DCC?
 
Jimmy you looked great against Paul P and the others. However, Dave's break was working great (seemed to stick the cue ball everytime, right in the middle of the table) and he got out from every where. Great tournament for you!!!

As much as I'd like to play in both of them, at this point, I'm almost certainly not playing in the UPA event (not to mention, I don't even know if I could get in now if I wanted to since it starts Wednesday), and I am probably not going to play at the DCC. The holidays were expensive this year and, unfortunately, I probably won't go play in anything where the expenses will be high for a little while. If my good friend Dave hadn't snapped me off ... maybe *sigh* ;)
 
Congrats, nice showing Jimmy. I watched your match with Jamito you played nearly flawless and your break was working well.
