Joe Rogan And Pool ???

New Coke was introduced to mask the switch from sugar to HFCS. It was a big enough taste difference that a diversion was needed. It failed on purpose.

I believe that an exhibition with Rogan and someone like Fedor against two other players or a top player and another celebrity that plays would be the biggest bang for the buck.

That said, whatever capacity that Joe Rogan is involved in pool will be a positive one.

Agreed. Isn't the old adage that, "there's no such thing as bad publicity?" Even hatewatchers are still views.

If you could read you would see that I was defending what people perceive as Joe’s rough and tough exterior and how it relates to pool. I like Joe and tough guys don’t use the word twat anymore but thanks for the chuckle

I wouldn't pay any attention to what that dude says. He's had a horrible case of the brown flu for a while now. Entertaining as hell to read his misconstrued rants while thinking he is some kinda hotshot and calling everyone, 'son'.

...... your one of those.... Optimistic Posters.... thx for Your wonderful explanation of who you know nothing about..... Your optimism speaks for Yourself.

If Rogan wants to help out the pool scene, maybe he can reach into his deep pockets and finance a decent paying tournament. I have absolutely no interest in hearing that human cue ball commentate a match he barely understands, and even less in watching him attempt to play.

I’ve played pool with Joe both at his office/studio and at his home in Austin, TX.
He’s a good player with very good mechanics, a solid foundation, a good stroke, and knowledgeable about the shots and positioning.
He seems to care a lot about the game, especially when one considers his set-up at both locations. One can tell that a lot of thought and preparation went into both.
He has a variety of some nice custom cues.
In my opinion only, finding time to attend a tournament or provide commentary might be the bigger issue.
As an aside, accommodating his security team might make the difference when deciding on an event to attend. In other words, I think it would be easier for him to attend a bigger event like the new location of the U.S. Open in Frisco, TX, versus the Texas Open in Round Rock in a small poolroom. With that being said, we did have dinner at a local restaurant, and only one person in the restaurant acted like they recognized him and approached the table.
