Any stories?

What pool needs is a good, exciting TV show, preferably about gambling.
That's what the public is interested in when it comes to poker, and that's what they're interested in when it comes to pool.
The idea that some have that gambling is seedy and low class only really applies to gambling that IS seedy and low class.
If done with personality and professionalism the way it's handled in poker I think it could be what gets people interested in it.

That, and maybe somehow work hot chicks into the equation :)

Hey Joe there were some pretty hot chicks on your show. Any after show stories that you would like to share?? :D :D

Thanks for chiming in, any chance we could see a pool/gambling/hot chick show in the future?

Also, was anything you read from us helpful?

While I don't think the above is a bad idea I think there have been a lot of good ideas for a pool show right here on AZ. I myself like a weekly show with two celebtries and two NAME pro players playing partner 8-ball (in Dutch Doubles or Mosconi Cup format) with half the winnings going to some charity. I'm 67 years old so my take on it might be to old for TV land now a days.

If Joe does get involved in this he probably knows better than all of us what could and what could not work on TV. He's been in the business for a long time. He has had top shows on TV, and he loves pool. Thanks Joe. Johnnyt
They had something like that here in Korea. Jeanette Lee and Cha YuRam were playing partners with two Korean comedians. It was just an episode on a weekly comedy/variety type show though, not the usual focus.

I think part of the excitement that would bring viewers would be a lack of predetermination. Sure have it set for guys there willing to match up, but don't prearrange games.

Part of the fun would be to see the woofing. Basically, seeing what player could best get the cash. The games making will come into play as well. The local player will offer a game that they think they can win and try to take the cash.

This type of thing might make the local player not want to give the money away and make a harder game for the guys on the show. This will also help to eliminate players as they stick their neck out trying to win a game they can't.

This might even be a way to replace guys that go bust, let the local player that beat them replace them.

I know NOTHING about what it takes to make a successful TV show, but your ideas about this are some of the best I have read so far.

Would be awesome to combine all of these things we have come up with and submit it to someone who knows the biz
