I just read some about this maker-Never heard of these things being done to a cue-especially the cork thing with the shaft ?
Copied from a site....
ANY ONE TRIED ONE????

The handle is the same diameter no matter where you hold it.
That means your cue feels the same on all shots, even if you're jacked up or stretched out over a shot.
The nubbin at the end of the cue helps you hold on to the cue for those stretched out shots and also aids in a shockwave dampening system.
The forearm is specially tapered to allow flex. This helps with cue ball deflection and increases cue tip to cue ball contact time.
Forearms are made with a vibration-dampening core.
3/8-10 Joint pin for feel and a superb hit.
The "CORKED" Shaft
Corking the shaft reduces cue ball deflection and allows the shaft to bend, which increases the cue tip to cue ball contact time.
Our shafts do not have a pro taper; they have a Master Taper.
All our cues go through extensive robotic testing for deflection, accuracy, and performance before they leave our factory.
Innovation and trial and error helped us created a high performance cue, supported by scientific discovery and proven results. The result is greater accuracy and more consistency. Barioni Cues produce more spin than most cues out there, which makes it easier to draw, follow and move your cue ball around the table. Unlike with most cues, you won't have to adjust and overcompensate to get the spin you need.

Sounds pretty interesting.

There’s a reason you’ve never heard of him.

Just because a Cuemaker don't stand out like say George Balabushka, does not mean that some hobby builder builds marginal Cues. Just mean he is a low production builder, or only sell Cue in the area he calls home.

He had some very interesting ideas. I would really like to try one of his cues sometime. He was a little abrasive in his posting here

Coco....:wave3:

He definitely has some interesting ideas, but from what I can recall, he was not to pleasant to deal with in his discussions. I've heard from a few people years back who've tried his cues, none were too impressed. Never tried one myself tho.

I know people who play with them. They seem to like them. I think the cues are very good-looking. Barioni cues sponsors a BCA league team in Modesto, CA.

I have one for sale currently. I will consider trade offers. The cue hits great. It was my daily player until i got a big PFD. Unfortunately, I haven't played it since.

hes not a popular cue maker, but everyone who owns one has never complained. hes been around a long time, his cues are very different, his butt end where its bigger, is a simple solution for an extension, very clever. his ideas are legit, his designs are a little boring though, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.

Get one of those heavy hitters and a dose of CTE and you will be barred from every tourney because u will never miss.

I don't know. Am I the only one raising an eyebrow to some of those claims in the OP? I do like the even butt, but that "nubbin" seems like a bad idea. Strangely enough, I know I've visited that website before.

When looking up what a nubbin was, I found this...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Supernumerary_nipple

The nubbin is actually fantastic, especially if you play on 8 and 9 foot tables. You never even notice it’s there unless you need it. For stretched over shots, you can use one or two fingers and your thumb and still get great control. It looks a little funny but it’s very useful.

Send me an offer, cash or trade. You’ll be impressed.
