Worked on me. Of course my banking skills are more feeble than my kicking game, which would make Little Joe weep.
The kicker, though, was seeing you and Fig pulling on the same oar. I figure that's as close as this old atheist will get to seeing the rapture.

Now you have much more time to do all that. When someone wants to learn to bank may I suggest you consider John's DVD and perhaps Freddy's works as well? I am sure you would not mind the small fee to provide almost 100 years worth of banking knowledge to your gang of pool welfare recipients that you look after.

I have a few, humble comments on John's CD... especially after some of the comments on AZ. First off I ordered the CD mid to late Friday and to my surprise it arrived Monday! Excellent service!!! Better service time than Ozone, Pool Dawg and other suppliers that I have ordered from in the past. EXCELLENT!
Reviewed the CD a little on Monday. The presentation John puts out is practical and laid back. Refreshing! Production rating.. EXCELLENT.
Practiced just a few of the principals (1-2 things for maybe 3 or 4 shots) total on Monday. Reviewed the information on and off yesterday (Tuesday) and played some APA 9 ball last night. I found myself "looking" for bank shots, a very rare thing for me to do. Thanks to John's CD, during the match I "found" about 10 playable banks. Made 8 of them and rattles the other 2!!! The improvement in my banks... I would rate as... EXCELLENT.
But... here's the best part. Had 3 players, including my opponent comment on what an excepitional bank player I was!!! Before John's CD I might hit 1 or 2 out of 10 attempts! The pride I felt inside...was an EXCELLENT feeling!!!!!!!!!
As far as some on AZ who feel $ 50.00 a little too excessive for a CD... The feeling I had last night as the balls fell and the compliments came.. PRICELESS!
So, my opinion of John's CD. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT... EXCELLENT and PRICELESS!

Other than the posts in praise of John Brumback...I like this post the best.
I find the use of the word 'troll' is often used to quell dissent and is akin
to moronic racial slurs.
If you respond to a 'troll' in kind...what does that make you.
Thaiger had some interesting points...that I disagree with....that SHOULD
have been in its own thread....well worth discussing.
I hope the ban is not too long....and he did John a favor, like Jay Helfert
says, by giving his tape a lot of attention.

he praises this dvd and he does his best to trash the other dvd he reviewed relentlessly! You guys on this site kill me lol :thumbup:
It's all about balance Champ. There was no way that Stan's DVD was going to get a fair shake from Lou. Not after all that had been invested in trashing Stan's name BEFORE the DVD was even made.
John on the other hand teaches the way Lou advocates so it's a natural fit.
Don't sweat it. Either way things work out for the best. Yin/Yang there is nothing in life that doesn't have a counterbalance.
Palmetto Cue posted the best review. He bought John's DVD and learned from it and also used the 90/90 aiming method and was very happy with his play at the DCC.
When you post solely to annoy others then it's trolling. And yes the trolled can become trolls themselves. I have done it. The difference is that I feel very icky when I allow myself to post simply for the purpose of pissing someone else off.
In other words I have a conscience about it. Some people don't. They will lie, defame, and be all-around jerks SIMPLY to upset others.
That's just not cool.
Although I never complained to anyone, I am glad to see this guy Thaiger get a time out. He was posting PURELY to be aggravating and piss people off. There was no rhyme or reason to much of what he was saying, just trying his best to annoy others who were attempting to discuss their points seriously. He was no longer arguing any valid point, just doing his best to refute any logical thought by anyone else. That irritated me when I saw what he was doing, but I quit trying to argue with him. I knew it was hopeless and he seemed to enjoy irritating everyone. I agree with whoever gave him the ban, temporary or otherwise. That's my HO for what it's worth.

All kiding aside, I really need some help banking. I think I'm going to pick up the DVD. I bank mostly by instinct and grew up playing bar table pool I play on the big table mostly now and I can't make a bank to save my life.
