John Schmidt says CTE works after all.

And you were warned about name calling.

Wanna compare warnings?

Good one Shitstorm
At least it was when you first posted it.
After repeating this same post about 25 times, not so good.
Weren't you warned about posting the same things over and over and over and over.........til infinity and beyond.

Flies In The Outhouse .......

A classy post by John Schmidt. He's someone who's opinion carries a lot of weight.

That can't be said for the keyboard Rambos that only want to tear down the system
or those that use it. They are the flies in the outhouse.

Some of the older members here might be like me, and were raised when there were no
indoor toilets. Our "throne room" was an outhouse that was not heated or cooled,
and with a smell that you could almost taste.

For the young whippersnappers on this forum, one of the joys of using one of those
outhouses on a hot, humid, summer day was having what seemed like thousands of flies
buzzing around you ass.....

Not really dangerous or painful, but still extremely irritating.

Some people on this forum make me remember those times.

The 1/2 ball statement I made was NOT about CTE.
It was merely an easy reference about fractional or any other method for that matter when a shot does not fit one of the base indicators.
If a method does not have 75 to 90 indicators there are adjustments that MUST be made when a shot is actually in between the base indicators.
Those adjustments need not be conscious adjustments but can be subconscious ones formulated through the time of trial & error of successes & failures while utilizing the method & building one's subjective data base.
Socrates said...
“Strong minds discuss ideas, average minds discuss events, weak minds discuss people.”
Accurately delivered 0 degree hits, 15 degree hits, 30 degree hits, 45 degree hits, and 60 degree hits....all being delivered with a good stroke, will bankrupt just about anybody who plays pool against you.
Stan Shuffett teaches this, it works, and I love it.....that's all I need to clean out 95% of most players. As for the other 5%....well, who needs that headache?
That's a long way from any 75 to 90 indicators....which sounds like living in pool hell to me. No dice to that idea.
Maybe Socrates never shot pool....?

ATC,
But... I then saw Stan's 5 shot perception video & I realized based on that there would NOT be any such revelations forth coming.<===wrong
Rick

Rick or Bill or Joe or whoever you are, You know virtually nothing about CTE perception and what is possible.
Chew on this for the 5 shots.
The tip has its own line at center.
The sighting for the 15 or the 30 has its own line.
The aim line for the CTE relation has its own line.
A dominant aspect for one's vision functions to separetly identify the above mentioned.
And one's strongest line of vision must also be recognized for the necessary cancelling out of that line so as to eliminate interfering distortions for the above mentioned.
Stan Shuffett
I'll drink to that!

Let's hope this is the start of "friendlier" aiming system discussions..

Good to "hope" but more wishful thinking than reality.

They'll all be back in full force within due time and the right opportunity. The question is which one will be first and when will it occur....

English makes some obvious points, sans insults, sans name calling. Then:

Pretty sure you have no clue about CTE.

You wont get many open minds on here, just a shitstorm of semantics. Run away while you can.

Looking more forward to seeing English, Pat Johnson, Jal, Lou Figueroa and the other keyboard warriors demonstrating what they know or think they know about it at the table where pool is played instead of their half a$$ed virtual pool imaginations while pounding keys to spout ongoing derogatory garbage.

Bull shit and totally wrong. You reply to everything as evidenced by 16,000 posts in 3 years.
You've been told and proven too over and over that every thought you have about cte is wrong.
You continue to fight the bad fight.
You are allowed to continue to fight the bad fight.
It's disgraceful the lengths you go to to provide bad information to people willing to discuss aiming systems.
Shitstorm should be your new nickname.

How about a few more illuminating posts on the inner workings of CTE:

...Aren't you the one now recognized as the most loyal sycophant zombie follower to hold the fort down while your Lord and Master PJ is sitting it out for being a bad boy and his echo or ventriloquist doll when he's here?

English has no clue about CTE and you being in his fan club shows that you also have no clue.

You guys are doing a most admirable job of ushering in this new era of kinder and gentler CTE discussion. All of us in the critic's group certainly have a lot to learn from your examples.

Just did a quick search for "Brian Wallace pool billiards" and didn't come up with anything. Not even a FargoRate...

Sooooo, who is Brian Wallace?

Lou Figueroa
just for starters ;-)

Just to make matters clear, as they should be.

Mr. Schmidt says that he does not know how it works. But since his friend Brian says that it does, that's good enough for him.

So... we really have nothing from John Schmidt other than he believes what his friend says.

So... all we really have is Brian Wallace saying that it works.

We really do NOT have any tried & studied conclusion from a World Class Player.

Just to make matters clear, as they should be.

That said, I'm not saying that it does not work. It's about what it is that has to go along with it for it to work & Brian Wallace has said that he & I are basically in agreement.

You critics, especially you, would be far better off learning the examples of HOW TO PLAY POOL WITH CTE from Stan, his Dvds, and we who know the system and use it rather than constantly coming in here to trash it or us with the incredibly misinformed clueless guessing games and whining.

Then, and ONLY THEN, would we have a new era of kinder and gentler CTE discussions!!

It had been very quiet in this forum.

Then the three magic letters were uttered, in the proper sequence, and the heavens opened, raining hate and discontent as far as the eye could see

We really do NOT have any tried & studied conclusion from a World Class Player.

We have a World Class Instructor who developed and teaches the system, something you are NOT. We have PRO PLAYERS who are now using the system which you are NOT.

That said, I'm not saying that it does not work.

This indicates some positive headway, even though you aren't a pro player or pro instructor. Good sign.

It's about what it is that has to go along with it for it to work

EXCELLENT!! Pick 1/2 dozen shots on the table. Any 1/2 dozen shots of varying cut angles and illustrate where the OB and CB is located along with the target pocket.

We don't even need a video. Verbalize in writing as comprehensively as you do in your 5,000 word single posts what and where the aim point is for the shot and whether you're using manual CTE or Pro1 and describe exactly what your seeing and doing from there.

If you know for a fact from experience the shot will be missed according to the instructions from the Dvd or Stan's other youtube videos, tell us what the adjustment is to make it in the chosen pocket. As I understand where you're coming from, it's ALL in the adjustments. Describe what they are.

This should be very easy for you to do as a highly educated pool player and wordsmith.

Don't disappoint us with deflection tactics and obfuscation.

Many people ask the same thing about a guy named Lou Figueroa and don't come up with anything either. SloppyPockets, you were correct. Lou Figueroa has arrived.

Maybe Lou and the others of his ilk would like to throw out the "conspiracy theory" regarding the post on Facebook not being made by John Schmidt. It was a phony poster using his name as well as not having any friend with the name of Brian Wallace. He doesn't exist because Lou couldn't find it through Google. The entire thing is a big, fat LIE.

It really perplexes me how some seem incapable of understanding the simple matters of fact that science dictates.

Even if there were 16 x 2 = 32.

32 is not enough lines to yield enough outcome angles (or lines) to play a complete game as there are 75 to 90 possible lines that can pop up & that is just for straight cut shots & does not account for bank shots...

but I understand that the same outcome angles or lines can cover banks.

But what is it that yields ALL of the other outcome angles or lines other than the now 32 lines?

Systems are not such that the same input yields different outcomes.

What is it that could possibly yield different outcomes from following the same systemic steps?

Oh, could it be that word 'perception'?

How does one gain intelligent perceptions?

Could it be developed over time through trial & error with successes & failures where one develops the subconscious 'tweaks' that yield successes & then one obtains those 'perceptions' that are subjective by definition?

I say yes.

I would guess that a few will say no.

Just some food for thought for any neutral reader.

THIS IS THE ONLY FOOD FOR THOUGHT AND DIRECT DEMONSTRATION THAT WILL SATISFY READERS OR ANYONE WHO DOESN'T UNDERSTAND HOW CTE WORKS. CUT THE DEFLECTION, OBFUSCATION WITH LAME THEORIES.

It also perplexes me how some seem incapable of understanding that we can not see what is going on in the subconscious mind of others much less ourselves.

The same individuals seem to not be able to differentiate when an issue is one of the mind (intellect) vs a physical issue.

It's as though they say, 'I can't understand Einstein's Theory of Relativity, but I can swim down stream faster than that fish can swim upstream.'.

'I'll prove it, I'll race him in the still waters of the lake so you can see that I am right.'.

Logical.

EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENS IN THE SUBCONSCIOUS MIND WHEN THE SHOT WON'T GO AND THE NECESSARY ADJUSTMENT REQUIRED TO MAKE IT.
