Johnny has never beat me a race to nine either. We never raced to nine. But he has beat me in a race to five first time we met in a tournament many years ago. And I beat him in a race to four several months ago. Only played twice that I can remember.

I remember seeing Johnny on teh cover of billiards magazine one year....I think early 90's....It was him teeing up a 9-ball like a golf ball...
Anybody know how well Johnny plays golf??

I thought it was great for pool, even if it was a short segment. Catching a world champion on film missing a straight in shot is priceless. It should make people think about how difficult this sport really is. When it's played at the highest level, it just looks too easy. Thanks to Johnny for representing the best and the rest of us.

I didn't record it but I thought that he was going to scratch on the break. Can someone who taped it reply? I enjoyed the entire show.

They shot a lot of tape, and spent a good deal of it letting Johnny explain "how" he plays. I feel like they captured some good stuff. It's all up to the show's editor now and how they put it together. I'm guessing it will be pretty good.

Jay, I saw this program last night. I was watching the show when this segment came on. Were those tables 9ft square, they looked like it?

I saw the show and thought it was good but they didn't explain much about the finer points of aiming such as allowing for deflection, etc. This being said, It could have been better. I must admit I enjoyed the segment on the knife throwing the best.

This segment was shot at Mr. Lucky's in Torrance. Chad (the owner) was nice enough to open up early for the TV crew, and let them shoot for over four hours to get all the footage they needed. I was very disappointed (as was Chad) that they made no mention of Mr. Lucky's or even a thank you in the credits at the end of the show.

This is the only thing we asked for and they agreed that Mr. Lucky's would be acknowledged. They even shot an exterior shot and focused on Mr. Lucky's sign. I guess this proves once again that if you don't get it in writing, it probably won't happen. Boo on Discovery Channel and the producers of this show for overlooking a nice guy who went out of his way to accommodate them.

By the way, Mr. Lucky's is a cool little room with dynamite Gold Crowns, set up by Ernesto of course. They also have three Diamond Smart tables, and quite a few regulars who like to play One Pocket. One day, I will go in there and play Johhny Kang again. We have kissed and made up, and he's the man in there. So naturally I have to play him.
