Johnny and Shawn stopped by my neck of the woods late last year and did a similar stop at a local place. A bunch of us got to play against and with them, take pic's, talk trash, ask questions, etc. They were so outgoing and pleasant.

I wish I were closer to FL, I'd be there in a heartbeat!

Bumping for next Thursday night's appearance in Gainesville, FL by Johnny and Shawn. Every little bit helps!

I got to play Johnny and Shawn last night at CBC in Chattanooga in a challenge match. I played Johnny first, broke, and didn't make a ball. I got to make a nice table long cut on the 2, but ended my run on the 5 after a stupid scratch. He ran the rest of the balls out, which was no surprise. I played Shawn a little later, the first game I made a nice masse on the 4 ball but followed it in, which left him out. We played again and I got the opportunity to make a table long 4-9 bank/combo on the 9. I got two balls signed by them and a few pictures. I definitely had a good time, and both guys were great!

I stopped in to Art of Billiards about a 1/2 hr after Johnny and Shawn left. Apparently their main intent was to play customers. According to someone who was there, you paid $15 or $25 to play Archer or Putnam. There were several who got up to play. One person I spoke with thought that it was strange that they were charging here, and did basically the same thing in J'Ville, Orlando and Ocala, and didn't charge. Maybe they needed gas money. It seemed strange. I heard that you paid to play, and if you won, you got to keep your money (what, no t-shirt and signed photo???) It's surprising that there was such a small crowd there to see these two champion players...period. Nice Diamond tables though!

Scott when were they in Ocala . Jax, and Orlando and at what Pool room playing people for free ? And it was $15 for a race to 3 challenger gets all the breaks race to three one pocket was more with Shawn (takes a little longer to play) and by the way Why would someone find it strange that they would be compensated . Do you charge for lessons as a BCA Instructor or do you travel and give clinics and lessons for free ? And for the record and based on how many people ponied up to play for over five hours that they were there I think everyone I talked to had a great time aside from the critics you bumped into. Why don't you set up something similar with top notch players playing for free post the event and I am sure you will have a house full
