Since shaft lengths seem to be of similar lengths with all cue brands, does that limit the cuemakers ability to pick their balance point? Is there an advantage to dramatically changing one length of the cue end over another? Are the current lengths unchangeable? How about a 40'' one piece jump butt with 18'' maple shafts, and a screw on Butt Joint Jumpin' Ferrule for the Up and Overs. Have the last four inches (bumper end) of the butt milled to about 7mm in diameter, for the behind the cue ball/dart throwing motion of jump shots. I'd buy one. Now where would I get a 42'' long case??? Maybe I'll just have em joint the butt end also....problem solved.
