What would u guys recommend? I have few choices :

1. ivorine
2. juma
3. cue ball

I like loud nice crisp sound of the cue. Except tip and ferrule material what joint material would be best choice?

As you've noted, the tip & ferrule choice would be the first area to look at in adjusting the sound of a cue.
While jnt. mtrl can be a contributing factor, I would be looking at strength in that area.
Of the 3 mtrls you've listed, only the Ivorine3 is linen based. It's a version of LBM.
The linen content and the manner in which it's configured add significantly to the mtrl's radial strength.
I've never seen an Ivorine3 jnt collar break.

The only one of those that will increase your joint noise is the cue ball material. Ivorine 3 is natural sounding and Juma is even softer sounding. While the cue ball material is not as strong it does make a noisy ferrule.
 
I like Juma. A Juma joint and a Juma ferrule gives a nice hit. It is also nice to work with.

Ivorine 4 joint, G10 Pin -- together with the *right tapered* shaft, the right ferrule, and the right tip-
then you have your crisp sound :p
 
antler

I like to use antler because of the color variations in the antler. If it is too grey move up or down the antler a few inches and the color changes. Plus they have a nice hit to them.

That's weird.
Unless snooker balls are made of something different than pool balls.
I have used an eight ball in a joint before and it turned out blacker than midnight.

I was afraid to use 8ball because i think there is not enough black material in it :frown:
 
I'll try to find a pic.
The only drawback using the right ball is the white circle where the number is.
On a good ball the circle goes right through.

I will remove it and put black juma or phenolic :angry:

I like cue ball joint sound :(

What is more similar ? Juma or phenolic?

I would say neither.....
Can you post a pic if the joint?
Maybe slow the speed a little on your lathe and wet sand and polish again.

I can't really tell on my phone, but that looks really nice!
I would maybe sand the joint with the shaft to match it perfectly, but I can't really see the graying...
